    what will happen to my status How do I request a leave of absence What is SJSU policy regarding this How do I formally withdraw from SJSU I will no longer attend the university 1 Will I have to re apply if I will be absent for one semester No You will not have to re apply if you are absent for one semester Keep in mind that you are required to return after the one semester leave Please review One Semester Leave policy on SJSU Catalog by following these navigational steps click SJSU Policies and Procedures then Undergraduate Information and Requirements then Leave of Absence and Withdrawal then One Semester Leave 2 How many classes or units do I need to take to maintain my student s status You may take at least one class and still remain a student We do not dictate the number of units in which students may enroll to maintain their status 3 If I did not attend 2 or more consecutive semesters what happens to my student status Do I need to re apply Yes After stopping out for 2 or more consecutive semesters Spring and Fall will be counted not Winter or Summer Session you have disrupted your continuous enrollment and you will need to re apply for admission at SJSU through CSU Mentor website If you have questions about re applying please check with your admission coordinator evaluator regarding re submitting your documents 4 This is my first term at SJSU and I cannot attend what will happen to my status If you do not attend SJSU in your first term of admission your status will be cancelled You will need to re apply through CSU Mentor website to attend SJSU in a future semester 5 How do I request a

    non SJSU student am I eligible to register through CSU Fully Online at SJSU Please go to the CSU Fully Online website to see if you are eligible for CSU Fully Online 4 To view list of available course go to CSU Fully Online website Select your home campus Select Spring 2016 then click Go to see all the courses available for you 5 My home campus is a quarter system can I enroll in courses in other campuses that are on the semester system No CSU Fully Online concurrent enrollment is possible only in overlapping campus terms e g semester to semester quarter to quarter When you logon to your home campus portal you will see only classes available based on your home campus system e g if your home campus is a quarter system all the classes that show up on your search will only be the ones offered on quarter system campuses 6 What are the Add Drop deadlines Add Drop deadlines are based on the host campus that offers the course SJSU s add drop deadlines are available on Spring 16 Registration Calendar 7 CSU Fully Online courses follow the add drop withdrawal policies of the host CSU campus Each campus has different policies If the student requests accommodations to the host campus policies it is our understanding that they will be provided by the host CSU campus 8 How do I register How to Enroll During the period that CSU Fully Online enrollment is available students who are currently active and have access to self service at their home campus will see the Enroll in CSU Fully Online link in the Academics section of the Student Center Student will need to Click on Enroll in CSU Fully Online Select term Spring 2016 then continue Classes that are available in the CSU system will appear on your screen Click on the Select Class button If there is a pre requisite the system will provide a listing of your Course History Indicate which course you believe fulfills the requirement If the course that meets the requisite is not listed a free form text box is available to list the course that meets the eligibility requirements Confirm by checking the Requisite Reviewed check box before completing the request Once the student has indicated the required requisite information he she will need to provide 9 How do I know if my request was successful Once the student completes the enrollment request he she will be able to view the status of the requests by navigating to the CSU Fully Online link Students will see one of these 3 statuses Request Pending Not Enrolled and Enrolled 10 How do I drop my CSU Fully Online course Student will need to drop at the host campus Check with the host campus for instructions on dropping Non SJSU Visitor students dropping the SJSU CSU Fully Online course can email registrar sjsu edu for assistance in dropping 11 I am not sure if

    Student Services Center to get a change of grade form Where can I get one 5 What is an IC grade and how does it affect my record 6 What is an RD grade and what do I need to do 7 Why do I have W grades on my record 8 How can I get a printed copy of my grades 9 My retroactive course drop semester withdrawal has been approved but my academic standing is still incorrect Is there anything I need to do to have it changed 10 My degree has been posted but there s an error on my transcript how can it be fixed 1 How and when will I receive my grades SJSU does not mail grades they will be available with academic standing within 2 3 weeks after the end of the term For specific dates see the calendar on the Registrar s website Access your grades via MySJSU SJSU ID and Password required 2 The semester has ended and my friends can view their grades My professor said he has already entered his grades but I cannot see it yet online When will my grade be available online Your instructor must enter the grades approve the grade roster and it will be posted by the Registrar s Office by the grade deadline It may take two to three weeks after the end of a term for grades to be finalized and viewable If it has been at least three weeks and your grade is not viewable contact your professor 3 An incorrect grade was assigned to me what do I need to do Immediately contact the instructor or the department chair if instructor is unavailable to submit a Change of Grade Form to the Registrar s Office 4 My professor told me to come to the Student Services Center to get a change of grade form Where can I get one Your professor should contact his her department s administrative assistant for Change of Grade form Only authorized staff and faculty may handle change of grade forms Students are not allowed to handle them it will be void when submitted by students 5 What is an IC grade and how does it affect my record IC stands for Incomplete Charged after failure to complete the assigned work within the established calendar year period for an I grade The IC replaces the I and it calculates as a failing grade for Grade Point Average GPA and progress point computation 6 What is an RD grade and what do I need to do RD stands for Report Delayed assigned by the Registrar s Office when grades are not submitted Student should contact the instructor department of the course to submit a Change of Grade Form as soon as possible 7 Why do I have W grades on my record W stands for Withdrawal which indicates that the student was permitted to withdraw from the course after the drop deadline for the term It carries

    take 4 8 weeks 6 How do I add a class during Advance Registration or Late Registration Here is the step by step instruction showing you how to add a class During the Advance Registration period you may add yourself on waitlisting During the Late Registration period waitlisting is no longer valid You will need to attend the first day of class and obtain a permission number from your instructor Permission numbers are at the instructor s discretion Via MySJSU you will need to enter permission number after you select the class you wish to add 7 I am having trouble registering for a course The system said prerequisites have not been met but I took the required course at another institution What do I need to do to register for this course Take a copy of your transcript showing the required course to your instructor to prove that you have met the prerequisite Your instructor can then give you a permission number 8 How do I audit a class To request to change the normal letter grading to Audit AU read and print the Audit Option form PDF carefully for instructions and requirements Once this form is signed and submitted student will have no option to revert the audit back to a graded option No grade points will be posted on the student s permanent record For additional information regarding the Audit Option please see the Grading System in the University Catalog Submit this form to the window R Registrar counter in the Student Services Center before the add deadline 9 How do I take a class as credit no credit instead of a normal letter grading You can submit a request to change normal letter grading to credit no credit CR NC This option is only available to upper division Junior or Senior and Post Baccalaureate students Read and print the Credit No Credit Option form PDF carefully for instructions and qualifications For additional information regarding the Credit No Credit Option please see the University Catalog Submit this form to the window R Registrar in the Student Services Center SSC before the Add deadline 10 Why can t I register in 100W classes I passed WST Other than passing WST 100w classes also require students to be in upper division standing which mean you need to be in junior or senior level class standing Junior level starts at 60 and senior level at 90 units To find out the number of units earned UE you can access a copy of your unofficial transcripts via MySJSU and look at the number of units under the coding UE If you are currently having less than 60 units you can 1 Wait until you become a junior to take upper division courses or 2 Download a Petition to enroll in SJSU Studies Area R S V Z Courses with Less than 60 units pdf to get approval to take upper division courses as a lower division student 11 What do I
