    Faculty Emeritus Faculty Full time Faculty Library Faculty Staff Faculty and Staff Resources STUDENTS Current Students Prospective Students Student Organizations Student Life SLU Zone Planet Sub Papa John s Mississippi Mud Coffee Medina Flamingo Bowl Drunken Fish Caruso s Deli Bella s Frozen Yogurt Cafe Smoothie King Home Academics Concentrations Entrepreneurship Law Entrepreneurship Law Entrepreneurship is the process of creating value by bringing together unique resources to exploit an opportunity in the marketplace Although entrepreneurship may involve starting a business or running a small business the term encompasses an extensive array of risk taking and innovative endeavors Entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ventures present unique substantive legal issues and relationship challenges that are not always experienced when representing corporations or well established business entities For this reason the Concentration in Entrepreneurship Law offers students the opportunity to concentrate their studies on the complex and varied legal concepts that impact entrepreneurial ventures and to participate in courses that focus on the skills needed to represent entrepreneurs Each student must complete the Core Required Courses a minimum of 6 additional hours of elective courses and one Capstone course Students attending the full time program will be able to complete the concentration requirements within the existing scheduling schema Students attending the part time program who are able to take an occasional day afternoon course will also be able to complete the concentration requirements Concentration Requirements Core Required Courses Business Associations Entrepreneurship Law Taxation Elective Courses Students will complete at least 3 additional courses totaling at least 6 total credit hours The courses below are examples of courses that fulfill these requirements Accounting for Lawyers Bankruptcy Employment Law Information Privacy Law Intellectual Property Survey Negotiations PS Partnership Taxation Real Estate Transactions Securities Regulation PS Sem Issues in Non Profit Organizations Transactional Drafting PS Transactional Drafting for
