    letter grade in this course based on performance on a series of written assignments exercises and short essay tests Students register through the Clinic Criminal Defense Advocacy PS LAW 984 2 Pre requisites LAW 705 Legal Profession LAW 822 Criminal Law OR LAW 823 Criminal Procedure I LAW 810 Evidence Co requisite LAW 994 Criminal Defense Clinic This course satisfies the Professional Skills Requirement Students enrolled in this course must enroll concurrently in the Criminal Defense Clinic LAW 994 This course covers the theoretical and practical issues in a criminal defense practice including client interviewing bail and pre trial release investigations motion practice discovery preliminary examinations plea bargaining post verdict proceedings and sentencing The focus is on Missouri law relating directly to work in the Criminal Defense Clinic Students receive a letter grade in this course based on performance on a series of written assignments exercises and short essay tests Students register through the Clinic Criminal Defense Clinic LAW 994 4 Pre requisites LAW 822 Criminal Law LAW 823 Criminal Procedure I LAW 810 Evidence LAW 705 Legal Profession Co requisite LAW 984 Criminal Defense Advocacy This clinic is open to students who have completed at least 46 credits or one half of their legal education Students enrolled in this clinic must enroll concurrently in the Criminal Defense Advocacy course LAW 984 Students may work with either the in house clinic Office of the Federal Defender or an Illinois Public Defender Office for 12 hours weekly representing indigent criminal defendants Students may conduct client and witness interviews preliminary hearings miscellaneous pre trial motions juvenile trials and motions misdemeanor trials and occasionally assist in the trial of felony case Grades in this course are recorded on the student s transcript as Pass Fail Students register through the Clinic This course will count towards the criminal litigation concentration Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic I Co requisite LAW 705 Legal Profession This clinic is open to students who have completed at least 46 credits or one half of their legal education Concurrent enrollment in one of two sections of the Entrepreneurship and Community Development course LAW is required Under the guidance and supervision of full time faculty members law students provide transactional legal services to Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic clients on a range of matters in the following four areas Community Development Entrepreneurship Intellectual Property and Policy The Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic is an in house clinic Students may enroll in the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic for 3 or 4 credit hours For each clinic credit hour a student must work 3 hours each week eg 9 or 12 for a total of 126 or 168 hours Grades in this course are recorded on the student s transcript as Pass Fail Registration for all clinics occurs prior to general registration Concentrations Intellectual Property Law E CD Clinic Lee Urban Development Land Use and Environmental Law E CD Clinic Malkus Entrepreneurship and Community Development Class Co requisite LAW 705 Legal Profession

    Zone Planet Sub Papa John s Mississippi Mud Coffee Medina Flamingo Bowl Drunken Fish Caruso s Deli Bella s Frozen Yogurt Cafe Smoothie King Home Student Services Parking Parking Parking for the 2014 2015 school year is available in options similar to the other two SLU campuses There are three levels of daily parking along with an option for an evening permit The following locations and options are available Preferred parking will have the benefit of using a surface lot at 1215 Olive or the 9th Street garage located just down Olive Street Student Pre Registration Preferred Parking To pre register for this option you will need to email parking slu edu with your full name Banner ID number and vehicle information including your license plate number Premium and Reserved will renew automatically for the upcoming year for current permit holders There is a wait list for the Premium and Reserved spaces in the Scott Hall Garage at this time You have the option of registering for a Preferred permit and being placed on the wait list until a space becomes available In order to be placed on the wait list you must email parking slu edu with your full name Banner ID number and Premium or Reserved parking choice You are officially on the wait list once you receive a confirmation email from a PCS staff member After you are registered for fall classes you may use the following instruction to complete on line Pre Registration Log in to mySLU Go to the Tools tab Open Banner Self Service Select Student Select the clickable type for Parking and Card Services Vehicle Registration Enter vehicle information license plate number state vehicle year make model body type and color Select your permit choice Summer Parking Is available to Preferred and Evening
