    Springfield College Springfield College Fund Friends of East Campus Friends of Springfield College Athletics Dr Tom Waddell 59 Fund Reunion Giving School of Human Services Valentine Fund School of Social Work Annual Student Scholarship Fund Ways to Make a Gift Endowed Scholarships Planned Gifts Giving Societies Meet Our Donors Development Staff Welcome Parents Families School of Social Work Annual Student Scholarship Fund Details This year Springfield College School of Social Work is celebrating its twenty fifth anniversary as a Council on Social Work Education accredited MSW program During this commemorative year we invite you to make a gift to the newly established School of Social Work Annual Student Scholarship Fund We have over 1 200 MSW alumni who are keenly aware of how our mission is interwoven with the Springfield College Humanics mission of educating the whole person spirit mind and body for leadership in service to others The field of social work is a deeply rewarding one and reflects the compassion and caring of the dedicated practitioners who are vital in order for the profession to succeed Every day we deal with the principles of economic and social justice dignity and human rights Currently more than 350 students are enrolled in the full time weekday program and part time weekend program in both Springfield and Worcester You likely know from your personal experience the challenges of financing graduate education More than 90 percent of SCSSW students finance their education through loans Financial aid scholarships are one important tool to help students offset the costs of graduate education Your gift can be made to the School of Social Work Annual Scholarship Fund and will provide immediate financial aid support for students of the School The fund will be administered by the School of Social Work Scholarship Committee which will be

    Directions Directory PrideNET Giving to Springfield College Ongoing projects The Diane L Potter 57 Softball Funds Campaign Section Menu Giving to Springfield College Giving to Springfield College Springfield College Fund Ways to Make a Gift Endowed Scholarships Planned Gifts Giving Societies Meet Our Donors Development Staff Welcome Parents Families The Diane L Potter 57 Softball Funds Campaign The Diane L Potter 57 Softball Funds Campaign Established in 2015 by a committed group of softball alumnae the Potter Softball Coaching Fund and Potter Softball Program Fund combine to augment support for the softball program Springfield College s goal is for both funds to reach 1 25 million The coaching fund goal of 1 million will create an endowment to support the head softball coaching salary and the softball program fund goal of 250 000 will create an endowment that provides annual support for the highest needs of the program Diane Potter 57 Coach Educator Leader Springfield College has one of the nation s most highly regarded and respected women s intercollegiate athletics programs and Diane Potter EdD a pioneer in women s athletics is among the reasons why She served as Springfield College s first women s gymnastics and softball coach She coached the softball team for 21 years 1965 75 1977 85 compiling a 227 123 record that included four undefeated seasons and a then school record 25 victories in her final season Potter played professionally and was a three time Eastern Major Girls Softball League All Star in the 1960s She played in four World Softball Tournaments and exhibition games in Canada At the request of the Dutch National Softball Association and the Italian Softball Federation she traveled to Holland and Italy to conduct clinics In 1974 Potter hosted the Dutch National Team in Springfield conducting a training camp
