    Occupational Therapy Program Graduate Occupational Therapy Program Faculty Contact Occupational Therapy FAQs Program Outcomes How to Apply and Prerequisite Information Incoming Student Information Occupational Therapy The Springfield College Occupational Therapy Department offers two levels of entry to our Master of Science in OT program as a first year or transfer student to the 5 1 2 year Health Science Occupational Therapy HSOT program or as a graduate student to the 28 month Entry Level Master s ELM program Fully encompassing Springfield College s Humanics philosophy the occupational therapy programs emphasize that health and learning are best gained through an approach that unifies spirit mind and body The over reaching goal of the programs is to foster in each student a strong sense of professional identity embracing the basic tenets and ethical practices of the profession Undergraduate entry Students entering as first year undergraduates may complete a bachelor of science in health science and a master of science in occupational therapy in five and a half years The professional portion of the program begins in the student s fourth year and continues through one and a half graduate years including two summers For further information about the HSOT program please click here Graduate entry The OT department offers an entry level master s degree program designed for people with bachelor s degrees in varying majors who wish to become occupational therapists Students can earn a master of science MS in Occupational Therapy in as little as 28 months or can extend their program to three four or even five years by attending part time For further information about the ELM program please click here Accreditation Our Entry Level Master s Program in occupational therapy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association Inc
