    Handbooks Faculty Focus Grants Awards Policies Guidelines The following is a list of internal funding opportunities available to Stonehill faculty To learn about external grants and awards please visit the Office of Academic Development The Louise F Hegarty Excellence in Teaching Award The Louise F Hegarty Award for Excellence in Teaching is given each year to a full time faculty member whose teaching has had a marked influence on the lives of Stonehill students The Committee on Excellence in Teaching representing the Students Faculty and the Alumni Council selects the outstanding teacher from those nominated by students and faculty members The recipient stands as a symbol of the entire faculty s commitment to academic excellence Make a nomination for the 2014 Hegarty Award Distinguished Faculty Scholar The Office of Academic Affairs may select a Distinguished Faculty Scholar to recognize a member of the faculty for singular accomplishment in the area of research Faculty members so recognized are asked to give collegial lectures on the subject of their research at celebratory events on campus Outstanding Faculty Service Award Established in 2007 the Outstanding Faculty Service Award is given to a full time faculty member whose service has significantly advanced the mission of Stonehill College Conboy Award for Faculty Development Administered by the Dean of the Faculty this grant provides a course release in one semester to advance the research of an Assistant or Associate Professor Make a nomination for the Conboy Award Classroom Innovation Grant Administered by the Center for Teaching and Learning this grant provides up to 1000 for the support of innovative projects meant to enhance student learning including innovative use of instructional technology Inclusive Excellence Grant Administered by the Office of Intercultural Affairs this grant supports projects which seek to foster inclusiveness of diverse perspectives across campus Pedagogy Travel Grant Administered by the Center for Teaching and Learning this grant provides up to 750 for support of faculty travel to teaching related workshops and conferences Professional Development Grant Administered by the Office of the Provost these grants fund up to 5 000 for Research Writing and Artistic Production and up to 2 000 for Seminar Institute Support All full time faculty members with continuing employment at the College are eligible to apply Publishing Support Grants Administered by the Dean of the Faculty these grants are available to help subsidize the cost of publication for scholarly works e g page charges indexing editing Approximately 10 000 is available each year maximum of 1 500 per faculty member Scholarship of Teaching and Learning SOTL Research Grant Administered by the Center for Teaching and Learning this grant provides 2500 for support of faculty research in the scholarship of teaching and learning Faculty Initiatives in Technology Administered by the Office of Instructional Technology FIT supports faculty in piloting new instructional technologies Participating faculty receive a 750 stipend along with dedicated support from a trained student assistant Faculty Librarian Partnership Program Organized by the MacPháidín Library and the Center for Teaching and Learning
