    for Law Society The Center for Nonprofit Management The Farm at Stonehill The Carole Calo Gallery H O P E Service Immersion Program Community Service Post Graduate Service Community Based Learning The Life You Change Will Be Your Own Changing the world might seem like a daunting goal but it s something Stonehill students do every day in ways big and small Athletics Recreational Sports NCAA Athletics Recreational Sports A Tradition of Athletic Excellence The Stonehill Skyhawks compete in the Northeast 10 Conference the largest NCAA Division II conference in the country Home About Stonehill Our Catholic Mission College Leadership College President College President Our Mission Philosophy Our Catholic Identity College Leadership Board of Trustees College President Senior Administration C S C Faculty Staff Board of Fellows Working at Stonehill Directions Campus Map Offices Services At a Glance Inauguration The Presidential Inauguration for Rev John F Denning C S C the tenth President of Stonehill was held Friday September 20 2013 in the College s Sports Complex Rev John Denning C S C When he took office on July 1 2013 Rev John Denning C S C became the tenth president in Stonehill s 65 year history Formerly the Vice President for Student Affairs at the College Fr Denning succeeded Rev Mark T Cregan 78 C S C who stepped down in June 2013 after 13 successful years of leading the College As he began his tenure Fr Denning 53 said I am honored and humbled at the opportunity to lead Stonehill I believe in the wonderful story of this College Its mission provides each student with a learning experience that transcends the classroom for the good of the broader community and fosters a hunger to build a more just and compassionate world Scholarship and Faith Fr Denning also cited his desire and passion to work on building Stonehill s strengths and meeting the challenges that confront the College s community of scholarship and faith These include furthering our strong academic reputation deepening our commitment to diversity and enhancing our Catholic character Now in our 65 th year we are still a relatively young institution and while we have made major strides forward in that time I believe that our best years are still ahead of us I base my confidence on the spirit of dedication I see across our campus and the talented individuals who teach mentor and represent the College at all levels he said Culture of Learning From 2007 to 2013 Fr Denning guided Stonehill s Student Affairs Division collaborating with others on campus to ensure that a culture of learning permeates all areas of College life Prior to that he served as the College s first Vice President for Mission establishing that department and launching initiatives to enhance Catholic identity at the College He began his service at the College in 2000 as its Director of Campus Ministry Early Career Prior to his arrival at Stonehill Fr Denning served as campus minister at the Catholic Center
