    know the name of their plan the insurer s address and the policy number and should carry insurance cards with them Students should know who their primary provider is how to contact him or her and what role he she plays in ongoing health care and insurance coverage General Information Student Health Insurance Immunization Requirements Information for Parents Frequently Asked Questions After Hours Care Medical Parking Pass Health Alerts Staff Contact Info Health Services Chapel of Mary South Entrance 508 565 1307 Hours 8 30 AM 4 30 PM Monday Friday Please call 508 565 1307 to make an appointment Maria Sullivan Director of Health Services 508 565 1307 msullivan7 stonehill edu Nancy Gilcoine Office Manager 508 565 1307 ngilcoine stonehill edu Student Health Insurance Required by Law Massachusetts State Law requires health insurance for every college student taking nine 9 or more credits Students must participate in either a qualifying student health insurance program see Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan below or a private health insurance plan with comparable coverage Consider Your Current Plan One of the many decisions to be made during the summer months in preparation for the upcoming academic year is whether your current insurance plan will adequately provide coverage while attending Stonehill College We have found that many students arrive on campus with insurance that is inadequate due to restrictive provider networks high deductibles or limited coverage for services received outside of a health plan s service area It is your decision to enroll or waive the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan but here are some questions to think about and to ask your current health plan Does my plan cover full time students beyond the age of 19 Does my plan cover full time students attending college away from home or even out of state Does my plan provide adequate coverage coverage beyond emergency services to include diagnostic x rays and laboratory services ordered at Stonehill College Health Service mental health coverage prescription drugs and inpatient and outpatient hospitalization Does my plan have health care providers in the Easton MA area Does my current plan cover local walk in clinic visits emergency room visits and specialty provider referrals Does my current plan have a high deductible that needs to be met before full coverage begins Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan If you don t have coverage or if your coverage isn t adequate you will need to enroll in the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan The Plan is underwritten by Harvard Pilgrim Health care Insurance Company HPHC and managed by Gallagher Student Health Special Risk Conversely if your current health insurance plan is comparable you are not required to purchase the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan Stonehill bills all students for the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan until proof of comparable coverage is received Information will be sent with the bills in July on how to complete an online waiver or acceptance of the insurance You can complete

    the country Home Offices Services Controller s Office Student Employment Student Employment FAQ Student Employment FAQ Accounts Payable Financial Systems Financial Statements Payroll Student Accounts Student Employment For Students For Hiring Managers Student Employment FAQ Meet Our Staff What types of work study jobs are available How do I know if I received a work study award Are jobs available for students without work study awards Does a work study award assure me of a job Can a work study award be used to pay my bill What happens if I don t use my work study award How do I look for a job and start to apply Can I have more than one job on campus How many hours can I work in a week What forms do I need to complete in order to work on campus I have been hired by a department when can I start working I have submitted all my paperwork and I do not have a timesheet What types of work study jobs are available Students are awarded two different types of work study Federal Work Study On campus jobs and for off campus jobs that require FWS eligibility Stonehill Work On campus jobs only How do I know if I received a work study award If you are eligible for work study it would appear in the Financial Aid section of myHill You must accept your work study award to use it Are jobs available for students without work study awards Students must have a work study award to apply for a student job on campus Students not awarded work study may request an award in Student Financial Assistance after the fourth week of school Does a work study award assure me of a job There is no job placement or guarantee of a job but rather the award is the limit to the amount you may earn during the academic year Students are responsible for securing their own employment Can a work study award be used to pay my bill No work study awards do not appear on the student account The only way to receive these funds is by working and getting paid for this work Students can manage these funds the way they see fit What happens if I don t use my work study award Nothing happens to a student s financial aid if the work study funds are not utilized All other awards remain unchanged How do I look for a job and start to apply Students search for their own jobs by going to the Student Employment database at https jobs stonehill edu The job search and hiring process generally takes several weeks Can I have more than one job on campus Yes students can have up to three different jobs in an academic year How many hours can I work in a week Students are only permitted to work a maximum of 15 hours per week during the academic year What forms do I

    Calo Gallery H O P E Service Immersion Program Community Service Post Graduate Service Community Based Learning The Life You Change Will Be Your Own Changing the world might seem like a daunting goal but it s something Stonehill students do every day in ways big and small Athletics Recreational Sports NCAA Athletics Recreational Sports A Tradition of Athletic Excellence The Stonehill Skyhawks compete in the Northeast 10 Conference the largest NCAA Division II conference in the country Home Current Students The FUN Fund FUN Fund FAQs FUN Fund FAQs Skyhawk Shuttle The Hill Card The FUN Fund FUN Fund FAQs FUN Fund Grant Criteria How To Get Reimbursed Clubs Organizations Offices Services FUN Fund Frequently Asked Questions Q What will the committee consider to be FUN A Let your imagination go wild The committee will review any reasonable requests for FUN up to 200 per application That means ballet performances day trips amusement parks plays concerts bowling dinner out movies mini golf sporting events museums tours cultural events the possibilities are endless Please remember that the committee is more likely to fund weekend events over weekday and only funds events that take place during the regular academic year not during finals or over breaks Q What if I have a FUN event in mind I d like to apply for but I don t know that date A Don t let that stop you from applying Plug a tentative date into the application Then in the section additional comments please let us know the date is tentative and you do at least have some alternate date or a tentative week in mind We do ask that for FUN to be approved you narrow down your time frame to a 2 3 specific dates e g If you are trying to get tickets to a performance or game and are not sure which date you ll end up with Once you have the specific date or if you need to change the date that you originally were approved for you should notify Kelly Fitzgerald so that she knows when to expect your receipts Q How far in advance should I submit a FUN Fund application for my FUN activity A We ask that applications be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to your FUN event so that we can review applications The FUN Fund Committee will typically meet twice a month to review applications Once the committee has met you should receive and email with their decision within 2 3 business days Q Can my friends and I submit several applications for one event if there is a large group A Right now we are only accepting one application up to 200 for each FUN activity regardless how many students are involved Q I m 21 Will the FUN Fund reimburse for alcoholic beverages purchased at my FUN event A No The purpose of the FUN Fund is to promote participation and accessibility of non alcohol related activities among students
