    in law continuously encouraged her husband to beat her One time the applicant s husband beat her 20 days after she delivered their first born child leading to her being hospitalized for a broken nose and bruises and cuts all over her body After that incident her husband kicked her out of the house and she was forced to live with her mother for about a year She eventually returned to her husband s home and later gave birth to her second child He then began beating her again nearly every other day for the next few years One day her father in law made another sexual advance towards her when she refused he beat her breaking her jaw Her brother arrived to help her and her father in law beat him and abducted him for 24 hours For approximately the next year her husband did not let her see her children The applicant filed for custody which she won after a long court battle but her husband was given daily visits They divorced Her ex husband and father in law wanted revenge they shot her brother and made false claims against her in the divorce decree In one particularly vengeful incident the applicant s ex husband tricked her into coming to his house As she arrived two policemen attacked her in front of her son dragged her into the house and raped her for three to four hours Her ex husband and father in law were present at the house and encouraged the rapes After the attack the applicant went to a judge to file a complaint The judge s order of investigation was never carried out because the applicant believes her ex husband and father in law had powerful ties with the police and the judiciary A second
