to see the arguments of the opposing side The community that I explored was the Pro Life Club on campus and sat in on their meetings and observed one of their outreach programs After a few months of participating with the club I reflected on my experience and surprisingly reaffirmed my beliefs Although all of the information that I learned was very valuable my beliefs are very strong and no amount of factual evidence can chance my mind I am very grateful for the experiences and I am very proud that I could share my beliefs with everyone View Ellen s Paper The Chinese Community CIS 110 Community Paper by Lauren Hucaby Lauren Hucaby is a freshman from Nicholasville Kentucky She is an elementary education major and had Instructor Allyson DeVito for CIS 110 and 111 I decided to write about this topic because of my little sister She has always had a passion for the Chinese community and when she started taking Chinese lessons and diving into the culture her passion made me want to learn more about the Chinese community as well I learned a lot from the Chinese people but mostly values such as service and hard work View Lauren s Paper Here Children with Developmental Disabilities CIS 110 Community Paper by Scarlette Benton Scarlette Benton is a freshman from Lexington Kentucky She is a business management major and has taken CIS 110 and CIS 111 with Instructor Allyson DeVito The community I chose to observe was children with developmental disabilities by volunteering in a two year old class at the Child Development Center of the Bluegrass I chose this community because I love working with children and I ve worked with young children before but never with children with disabilities Before I started volunteering I assumed I would see kids with obvious physical disabilities but instead I observed most of them had problems like delayed speech and motor skills Although all of these kids were branded with developmental disabilities they are really just your average fun loving kids View Scarlette s Paper Here Welcome to the Internet A Proposal Concerning Cyberbullying in Smite CIS 112 Public Issue Essay by Hannah Boulware Hannah Boulware is a freshman who has lived in many places during her life but says Fort Knox Kentucky could count as her hometown She is a secondary STEM education in mathematics major and Dr Sarah Kercsmar was her instructor for CIS 112 As of lately I have taken an acute interest in games They ve really help me stay connected with my boyfriend who lives about nine hours away When I began reading about games such as studies and various researches I really fell in love with games for being more than they were on the surface There are so many various applications and psychological affects that there was no way for me to not enjoy games as a topic I guess what I took away most from this assignment was how enjoyable it
