    departments units and programs on this campus Some examples include The Ginsberg Center s Literacy Initiatives partners with UM Athletics on Readers and Best a guest reader program in Ann Arbor Public Schools KnitWits has for more than 20 years provided warm wearable goods to adults and youth served by Ginsberg Center programs The group also utilizes Ginsberg Center space for drop off and distribution One example of our collaboration with the School of Social Work s Community Action and Social Change minor is the co sponsorship of the So Cool So Just social justice fair in the Fall of each academic year The student organization Cultivating Community which maintains the Ginsberg Garden is also sponsored by the Matthaei Botanical Garden Our ongoing work with the UM Detroit Center includes shared space for Ginsberg Center staff to have a presence in Detroit and gallery space for our annual Local Artists Under 10 event Every March our work for National Reading Month has resulted in a celebration of reading through ongoing fun collaborations with groups on campus whose works focuses on literacy including UM Library and Sweetland Center for Writing The Legacy of Our Campus Partnerships Over the past two decades our campus collaborations have resulted in the development of thriving sustainable programs and services on this campus that have served thousands of University of Michigan students Some examples include Our support of a student project team in partnership with the Residential College resulted in the creation of Semester In Detroit an opportunity for UM students to earn credit while living learning working and engaging in Detroit The Ginsberg Center director was co director of the program before the program was institutionalized as part of the RC in 2009 When the founding faculty director of Arts of Citizenship left the University
