  • University College Core Curriculum
    has been revised for the 2013 2014 Catalog Students who enter in Summer II or Fall 2013 must complete these new requirements Continuing students who fall under one of the exceptions described below must also complete these requirements More Core Curriculum 2012 2013 Continuing students those who entered FSU before Summer or Fall 2013 are subject to the core curriculum requirements of the Catalog in effect when they entered see below for exceptions Because core curriculum requirements changed very little between 2000 and 2012 most continuing students can use the 2012 2013 Catalog for reference The University College Core Curriculum requirements as described in the FSU Catalog Core Student Learning Outcomes What every FSU graduate should know and be able to do Exceptions Some students who entered FSU before Summer or Fall 2013 are subject to the revised core curriculum requirements Readmits Students readmitted to the University after an absence of one or more semesters are subject to the Catalog in effect the semester of their re enrollment New Catalog Election Continuing students have the option of electing to follow a later Catalog Students who exercise this option must satisfy all core requirements of the later Catalog Core Curriculum FAQs

  • Profile Examination Standards For Proficiency
    Questionnaire The Standards for Proficiency are statements that describe the range of knowledge skills and abilities that students earning a particular score on each exam are likely to have These statements reflect the actual practices of colleges and universities now using this system of assessment Please find the range each of your scores falls to determine the standards for proficiency you have met according to this test score You can compare your score to the mean average score for test takers nationally For more information about the Profile Examinations visit the University Testing website Mathematics Score Range Standards for Proficiency 20 43 Students at this level have a minimal level of elementary algebra skills 44 81 Students at this level can perform operations with signed numbers perform operations with algebraic expressions combine like terms multiply binomials and identify common factors 82 108 Students at this level have sufficient knowledge of elementary algebra skills including the ability to add radicals simplify algebraic expressions add algebraic fractions factor the difference squares square binomials evaluate algebraic expressions solve linear equations with integer coefficients 109 up Students at this level have substantial knowledge of elementary algebra skills They can factor quadratic expressions solve quadratic

    I log in Students need an ALTERNATE PIN to register and seniors register first More info Select Student Services View screenshot Select Registration View screenshot Select Add Drop classes View screenshot Select Term Contact your advisor to receive your Alternate PIN Enter your alternate registration PIN View screenshot Click Class Search to find specific sections of each class you want to take View screenshot Select a Subject e g English Physical Education and enter a course number You can also enter other search criteria such as days and times Click Submit to see all classes that correspond to the search criteria selected Review the class sections to find a section that you want Click the check box to the left of the section you want If there is no check box that section is closed Look for another HINT Write down the course days and times for each class This will help you avoid selecting classes that conflict with classes you have already selected View screenshot Click Register to add the class When you have registered for all your classes log out of Banner by clicking Exit You can review your schedule at any time by logging in to Banner
