    Phone 910 672 1371 Toll free 1 800 222 2594 Fax 910 672 1414 Admission Procedures The university seeks to admit undergraduate students whose academic preparation is strong who desire to succeed and who are highly motivated academically professionally and personally All prospective student applications regardless of classification must be accompanied by a 40 00 application fee which is not refundable Admission to the university does not guarantee admission to a professional teaching curriculum the Nursing Program or any program that has specific requirements Students are responsible for ensuring that all requested credentials are forwarded to the Office of Admissions prior to registration for the semester for which they wish to enroll Falsification of the application or of any academic records will make the applicant ineligible for admission or subject to dismissal if admission has already been granted The university accepts applications according to the guidelines outlined below Fayetteville State University in cooperation with the Fort Bragg Education Center offers a program of Teacher Licensure Opportunities for Transitioning Soldiers TLOTS through the School of Education This program allows transitioning soldiers who have a maximum of two years of active duty remaining and hold at least a B A or B

  • Early Admission with Dual Enrollment
    are listed below An applicant must furnish a copy of a high school transcript showing grades earned through the junior year courses in progress in the senior year and an overall grade point average of 3 0 based on at least two years of high school study prospective students currently enrolled in high school The transcript must reflect that the applicant upon graduation will have completed the minimum course requirements listed above A cumulative grade point average of 3 0 or higher in all courses attempted in the ninth through the eleventh grades A acceptable score on either the new SAT I which includes the writing components or the ACT with the writing component An above average high school class rank A passing score on all areas of the North Carolina Competency Examination a requirement for all students graduating from secondary schools in North Carolina A recommendation from the counselor or the principal A current medical certificate Students accepted under this program will be required to take all tests administered to entering freshmen Applicants considered for admission will be accepted under the classification of Special Unconditional admission is contingent upon fulfilling the stated requirements and graduation from high school Students

  • About Your Campus Tour
    are confirmed on a first come first served basis All campus tour requests must be submitted online using the Bronco VIP link Late Arrivals Guests are asked to make every effort to be on time for your scheduled presentation and tour If your group is going to be more than 10 minutes late please call 910 672 1371 While we will do our best to accommodate you we cannot guarantee a tour or presentation Parking on Campus The Office of Admissions will validate parking for our campus visitors Additional information about the campus parking will be included in your confirmation email If you do not have a parking pass please plan to arrive early to pick one up from the Office of Admissions to avoid getting a parking citation Walking Tour Due to the terrain of the university and the amount of walking involved on the campus tour guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes Please also wear comfortable clothing to accommodate possible weather and temperature variations Group Tours The organization responsible for the group visit will be expected to provide at least one chaperone for every ten students Fayetteville State University will provide the group with a tour guide however our tour guides will not be responsible for monitoring the behavior of your students Discipline Control Your group coordinator and chaperones are responsible for disciplining and controlling your students while on the Fayetteville State University campus The University requests that the group coordinators and chaperones ensure that the members of the group are respectful of the University s facilities and grounds Any property damage or bodily injury that may result from the actions of a member of your group shall be the responsibility of your organization Inclement weather Inclement weather notices for the Fayetteville area are posted on

    largest classes in the history of the Institution The Commencement speaker encouraged our students to step boldly into their future understanding that there would be detours along the way So I too say to you step boldly into your future Take risks Be a part of the solution Be of service Let FSU be a part of that future And if you cannot find your way to us right after graduation no worries don t be alarmed the roads you travel will not always be linear You will have detours along the way but don t let that stop you We welcome the opportunity to work with you as a Transfer student Special Visiting or even graduate student you can find a place here at FSU today OR your tomorrow s tomorrow If you however find yourself ready to begin your educational journey at FSU today and have not applied IT S NOT TOO LATE Our application deadline is June 30 th so you still have plenty of time In fact we STILL have scholarship available Additionally we are offering the Institutional SAT on June 18 th and 25 Th as well as an optional SAT Workshop facilitated by Sylvan

    My hope is that a visit to FSU is a part of your plan of action If you have not visited the campus it is a must as you narrow down your college choices Here in the office of admission our second half consists of creating fun and engaging opportunities to reach out to you Hence my Happy New Year Blog to you For example our Spring Call Campaign is on the near horizon We think that it is a wonderful way for you to speak directly to students and faculty Also our plans are already underway for our Spring Open House scheduled for March 23 2013 Be on the look out for additional information in the coming weeks You will have a chance to see FSU faculty and staff up close and personal In addition you can find out for yourself what makes us so special You may even be able to put a face to a voice In the second half we are also steadily sending out merit scholarships to students who are academically eligible So please make sure that we have your most up to date test scores and mid year grades Lastly and the most important
