    the halfway mark to your official sojourn across the stage to become a bona fide high school graduate Goodness just yesterday it was your freshmen year Believe you me time is moving quickly at FSU as well We had an amazing semester The 2011 FSU Homecoming which we welcomed our native son J Cole in concert has come and gone Our new Mr FSU Ervin Brinkley a Senior Business Administration major from Enfield NC was just recently crowned we had one of the most productive Fall Preview programs in years at Winter Commencement we graduated 524 new FSU Alumni and most exciting after careful consideration the International Education Office confirmed that the 2012 Summer Honors Student Study Abroad Program would be traveling to India If selected as a Global Scholar must have a 3 5 GPA 1000 critical reading and math SAT you too could study abroad at little to no cost As time quickly scurries by I hope that you are and have been actively engaged in the quest to find your rightful place in the world upon graduating You ask actively engaged Well that means that you are still putting forth your best effort to ensure a strong academic showing for this semester You have studied and prepared for the SAT s and or ACT s In fact you are signing up for more than one because you only don t want to be admissible to the University of your choice you want to be scholarship competitive Now if you have missed a step or two or slightly behind in the process no worries my office can officially stop time to assist you Okay well we really can t stop time lol BUT we can be and most assuredly are available to assist you with your FSU college

    do what I love For you it could mean a host of things perhaps some of the same reasons as mine as well but for the purpose that we find ourselves on my blog it means it s not too late If you have not taken your SAT ACT take action If you have not filled out a college application it s not too late If you have not started the process of filling out your FAFSA take action Now as you settle into the spring semester and finally realize the last months of your senior are before you don t get overwhelmed These are moments that you will always cherish But remember you still have things to accomplish In the office of admissions at FSU we are here to help you accomplish those things We want to help We want to assist you in your college application process We want to encourage you to become a Bronco We want to share the exciting things that are happening on our campus with you How can all of this be possible you ask First it starts with the application Go on line it s as simple as 1 2 3 Submit your official transcript Submit your official test scores Submit your essay And if you mention this blog I will waive your application fee offer only applicable for the Fall 2011 semester It s easy You can do it Don t delay TAKE ACTION DO THE WORK If you have already applied and been accepted Awesome We want you to visit the campus We want to assist you in firming up your plans to make FSU your home away from home over the next four years When you are making plans to attend make sure you bring a friend We love

    Gray Responsible for supervising the receipts for all cash funds received by the University computing and prepares daily bank deposit certifications and enters the appropriate data into CMS State Controller Cash Management System reimbursing University s various petty cash records after Controller s approval and reviews check request to re establish cash funds analysis return checks charge back to appropriate accounts forward to the appropriate University Units and submit letters for return check for Accounts Receivable Federal Perkins Loans and other specific Accounts Screens all incoming telephone calls for the Cashiering and Accounts Receivable Section and answers general questions on students account and directs all other calls to the appropriate staff sorts prepares distributes refund checks on a weekly basis and work study checks monthly reimburse Imprest Fund Cash Accounts post appropriate note request Emergency Loans prior to disbursement of Refund Checks and Work Study Checks Reconciles deposits vault cash and returned check account for accountability and accuracy daily weekly and monthly respectively researching and resolving receipt errors Reports to the Director of Cashier and Accounts Receivable 5 University Cashiers Katrina Hoffman Responsible for receipting University funds including unit transmittals from the Vice Chancellors Office walk in student payments and various checks SODC Set Off Debt Collections Collections Agency etc containing longs volumes of payments in one check Daily responses to student inquires regarding balances projected Financial Aid Refund Dates Work Study Checks Monthly Payment Plans etc Aid in matching Student Loan Refund and Work study checks to student account statements for disbursement to students Computes deposits by bank Prepares bank deposit slips certifications and makes appropriate entries into State Controller System CMS Process returned checks and approved petty cash items to record activity by completing system generated reports and official forms request and prepares appropriate reports in the absence of the Head Cashier Responsible for running daily cash reconciliation report which contains totals for each cashier window This is a multi step process and is essential to require feeding of appropriate date to FRS Banner and LMS systems Prepares memoranda notices signs and other item through use of Word Perfect and color printer that communicates essential information to students and staff Responsible for mailing of refund checks weekly maintaining logs of those checks to respond to student inquiries Reviews payments listed on transmittal to determine where to receipt it consults with other members of Accounts Receivable Staff Federal Perkins Loan Staff Treasurer Student Accounts and University controller to ensure proper receipting recorded to appropriate accounts Detach fold stuffs and counts billing statements mailed monthly to students and or attached to checks Assist with placing address labels and preparation and mailing of other appropriate notices to students such as card to pre registered students notice to Stafford Loan or Federal Perkins Loan borrowers who have not signed notes or attended loan conferences Reports to the Director of Cashier and Accounts Receivable BUR 2 1 2 Federal Perkins Loans The primary responsibilities of the position include providing supervisory administrative and technical
