  • Entrance Interview
    are a part of your Financial Aid Award Package you must complete the Federal Perkins Loan Entrance Conference before the funds can be transferred to your student account in the Business Office NOTE This Federal Perkins Loan Entrance Conference is in addition to the one that is required by the Financial Aid Office Federal regulations require the University to provide a loan conference to every borrower whether you are an undergraduate or a graduate student The goal is to emphasize the importance of loan repayment and the consequences of defaulting on a student loan The conference also reviews and explains your rights and responsibilities as a borrower as well as advises you of the rights and responsibilities of the University the lender This information must be provided to you before funds are transferred to your student account You can complete the Federal Perkins Loan Entrance Counseling on the web at Mapping Your Future Follow the instructions on the website When you complete the session you will receive a confirmation number Please print out the confirmation information and bring it along with your FSU student ID driver s license and social security card to the Federal Perkins Loan Office 2nd Floor

    are referenced below Be sure to keep copies of this statement and your promissory note for future reference I have read and understand the following conditions and terms of the loan as stated on the promissory note Principal amount of the loan as stated in the Schedule of Advances Interest rate and periods during which interest will accrue Repayment obligations Prepayment options Definition of default and its consequences including the addition of collection and litigations costs Forbearance Deferment rights Cancellation Rights Change of address name or social security number Late Charges Assignment of the loan to the United States I also understand the following requirements of this loan program I must report to the Loan Section any change in my student status such as withdrawal from school transfer to another school reduction of course load to below half time status or completion of my studies graduation Before I graduate or withdraw from Fayetteville State University I must either arrange for an individual exit interview with a representative of the Financial Aid Office or attend one of the loan conferences scheduled to replace the individual exit interview I may contact the Loan Section at any time to request the total cumulative

  • Admission to CHEER
    CHEER CHEER is for first time freshmen admitted for the fall of 2015 who are interested in a transitional experience between high school and college The program offers classes in English and math so if you have credit for those already you may not attend CHEER You must be classified as a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes Secure Your Space Space is limited We will accept students on a first come first served basis until the program is full To secure your space in the CHEER Scholars program return your participant contract to the Office of Admissions There are many ways to get a contract You can download the contract here print it off the emails we send to eligible students get it at First Steps or use the hard copy you receive in the mail from Admissions You must return a signed hard copy of the contract to Admissions not faxed or emailed After Admissions receives your contract you will receive confirmation of your enrollment via email When you come to CHEER you will be assigned to a learning community named after one of the founders of FSU Harris Leary Lomax Simmons Grainger Bryant Chesnutt or Carter Copyright

  • Policies and Regulations
    CHEER students will be residing on FSU s campus and must abide by Residence Life regulations including keeping curfew passing room inspection and abiding by visitation and check out policy Disruptive Behavior is considered any behavior that interferes with instruction and learning Examples include but are not limited to the following Failure to respect the rights of other students to express their viewpoints by behaviors such as repeatedly interrupting them using profanity and or disrepectful names or labels for others ridiculing others viewpoints and similar behaviors Excessive talking while the faculty member or other students are presenting information or expressing their viewpoints Use of cell phones and or other electronic devices in violation of the class syllabus Overt inattentiveness sleeping reading non class material etc Eating in class Threats or statements that jeopardize the safety of the student and others Failure to follow reasonable requests of faculty members Entering class late and or leaving class early on a regular basis In addition to having high standards for you as a CHEER Scholar we maintain high standards for ourselves as your instructors mentors tutors advisors and Residence Life personnel If you have any problems during the program speak to Ms Wade Mrs Jones or anyone else involved directly If the issue is not immediately resolved please fill out the Student Complaint Form and give it to Ms Wade for follow up Consent to Release Confidential Information In accordance with Fayetteville State University s FSU Student Education Records Policy a student may grant FSU the right to release confidential and specific information contained in or about educational records such as grades disciplinary actions etc to third parties such as parent s guardians s and or spouse by completing the attached Consent to Release Confidential Information form Disclosure of Educational Records Fayetteville State
