    Faculty and Staff Alumni Search form Search Apply Tuition and Financial Aid Events Blog Get to Know Us Policies Contact Share Share via Email Graduate Admissions Posted Sep 17 2015 9 36am What s Going On In Philadelphia It seems as though the country has been gearing up for the Papal Visit for months but the official countdown is on The Pope will arrive into Philadelphia after short visits to Washington D C and New York City on September 26 th If you do not plan to attend the festivities including the parade through the city or mass be prepared because all Philadelphians will have to deal with quite a few detours road closings and a very very large amount of guests in the city People from all over the country will not only be attending the events for the Papal Visit but visiting some of our amazing landmarks and probably grabbing a cheesesteak This is a great event that s coming to our city bringing in huge crowds to our local businesses And for those of you who try to contact us on Friday be forewarned that UPenn will be closed on Friday 25th Philly we ll do great

    Undergraduates Current Graduate Students Current Doctoral Students Faculty and Staff Alumni Search form Search Apply Tuition and Financial Aid Events Blog Get to Know Us Policies Contact Share Share via Email Graduate Admissions Posted Sep 15 2015 11 31am What s Happening WIth Our Dean On September 8th the Architectural Record announced its winners of the Second Annual Women in Architecture Awards and our Dean Marilyn Jordan Taylor is one of the selected winners Honoring a professional who has helped the advancement of women Taylor is dean of the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania An architect and planner she was the first woman chairman of Skidmore Owings Merrill before bringing her vast experience particularly in large scale urban and transportation projects to her role leading PennDesign These winners were selected after deliberation by an independent jury including Rosalie Genevro executive director of the Architectural League critic Sarah Williams Goldhagen Jill Lerner principal of KPF Mark Lamster architecture critic for The Dallas Morning News and Mark Regulinski managing director of SOM Check out some of the other winners here and make sure to congratulate our dean when you see her Support PennDesign Your contribution positively impacts our ability
