    not be used for semester long instruction or office hours Drop in usage is welcome but priority is given to groups with reservations Reservations may be made online at www mywco com groupstudy for up to two hours at a time Doors to Group Study Rooms are unlocked DO NOT LEAVE PERSONAL ITEMS UNATTENDED Contact the Circulation Desk for more information 601 266 4250 GROUP STUDY ROOM USAGE GUIDELINES Group study rooms are intended for groups of 2 or more Drop in usage is welcome although priority will be given to study groups who have reserved their room through the online reservation system at www mywco com groupstudy Rooms can be reserved in half hour increments for up to two hours at a time and up to two weeks in advance by current USM students faculty and staff You must bring proof of confirmation when you come to the room to claim your slot a printout saved email or screenshot on phone laptop or other device etc Drop in users must relinquish the room when presented with another group s confirmation of reservation for that time room Groups are responsible for the condition of the room Users of the group study rooms must clean up after themselves and leave the room in good condition for the next users including erasing the white board Dry erase marker and eraser packs are available to check out at the Circulation Desk While the group study rooms are designed for group use they are not soundproof Please be considerate of other library users and maintain reasonable noise levels To prevent noise from leaving the room the door should be closed when the room is occupied Library furniture from other locations may not be moved into study rooms The Library is not responsible for the

    replace an office or conference setting Rental Fees Rental fees are based on a single academic term 60 00 term fall and spring 50 00 term summer Eligibility Research carrels may be assigned to currently employed faculty and staff and currently enrolled students at the University of Southern Mississippi who have no outstanding library charges or fines A valid University of Southern Mississippi identification card must be presented to receive a carrel key Application Period Research carrels are assigned by the University Libraries Administrative Office Cook Library Room 202 Applications for carrels will be accepted the first work day two months prior to the assignment period July 1 for the fall term November 1 for the spring term April 1 for the summer term A waiting list will be established when demand is greater than the number of carrels available Carrel assignments will be made based upon the order applications were received Occupancy Period Research carrel occupancy period begins the first day of classes and ends the last day of the term i e the last day of final exams Assignment Procedure Notification of carrel assignments is made via e mail Keys not picked up by the midpoint of a
