    may be reserved by students faculty or staff Group study rooms in Gulf Coast Library are available on a first come first served basis Sixteen group study rooms are available on floors one through four of Cook Library Room sizes and equipment vary For more information or to make a reservation go to the group study rooms page Reserve Group Study Rooms The following rooms may be reserved by faculty or staff Cook Library Room 110 Classroom with 26 computers instructor PC and ceiling mounted LCD projector Also conference table seating 14 persons Form for reserving Room 110 LIB 110 Cook Library Room 123 Conference room seating approximately 60 persons with Internet access and LCD projector Form for reserving Room 123 LIB 123 Cook Library Room 207 Classroom with 20 computers instructor PC and LCD projector Cook Library Room 207 LIB 207 may be reserved through the Astra room scheduling system maintained by the Office of the Registrar To inquire about room availability please visit the Registrar s Office in Kennard Washington Hall room 110 KWH 110 or phone 601 266 5006 Cook Library Research Carrels Eighty research carrels are available for rent inside Cook Library Additional information is provided

    is waiting for the patron to pick it up Checked out to Customer The item has been checked out to the patron via ILLiad Delivered to Web The article s have been posted to ILLiad for viewing Cancelled by ILL staff Displays the time when the request was cancelled Request Finished This order has been completed Since all data about a request and its handling is stored in a searchable database the Interlibrary Loan staff is able to respond quickly to inquiries about individual requests Password Assistance top ILLiad is accessed with your CampusID username and password For assistance with passwords please contact the iTech Helpdesk at 601 266 HELP 4357 Request Procedures top Before submitting a request through Interlibrary Loan please make sure that University Libraries does not own the material you are requesting To do this check the the library catalog Interlibrary Loan cannot request material from another library if it is held in the University Libraries collection Each request must be submitted on a separate form even if two or more articles from the same issue of a journal are being requested If the form is filled in completely Interlibrary Loan will be able to process the request faster Interlibrary Loan will not reorder the same title multiple times Textbooks top Interlibrary Loan does not process requests for textbooks required for classes These items must be purchased Interlibrary Loan cannot serve as a replacement for purchasing course textbooks The course instructor should be notified when textbooks are not available at the textbook center Eagle Express Requests top Current USM students may request to have an item mailed to a designated address if they live more than 30 miles from a USM campus For more information please see our FAQ page for this service Costs top The Interlibrary Loan staff attempts to obtain items from libraries with which we have reciprocal agreements Most items are borrowed in this manner and are free of charge to our patrons However in rare circumstances where costs to obtain specific materials are prohibitive the ILL department reserves the right to pass these charges along to patrons Such instances may include dissertations on demand or other special collection items Patrons will be notified in advance of any impending charges and have the right to cancel requests All charges are applied to the patron s library account or a specified grant or departmental account Patrons should exercise judgment and discretion with regard to the number of items requested Copyright Information top Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions The Copyright Law of the United States Title 17 U S Code governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material Under certain conditions specified in the law libraries and archives are authorized to provide photocopy or other reproduction One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be used for any purpose other than private study scholarship or research If a user makes a request for or later uses a photocopy
