    Master Plan Ramer Field Renovation Phase I Rodli Hall Renovation Project Space Use Principles and Guidelines CarShare by Enterprise Cascade Avenue Fast Copy Fleet Vehicles Project Updates Staff Student Employment Sustainability Work Orders Work Units Administration Building Maintenance Custodial Services Grounds Maintenance Heating Plant Postal and Central Stores Posters Printing a Poster All files must be provided in PDF format You ll need PDF software From your original poster file create a PDF file by using your Print dialogue box Resolution settings must be high 150 minimum for images for high quality output Check your resolution settings in print options before printing saving as a PDF file The printer handles 1200 resolution Images taken off the Web at 72 and used in your poster will not produce high quality results Do not use copyrighted Web images If using the UWRF logo request a high resolution image from the design team Review identity standards for correct usage of the UWRF logo You can download Office 2007 add in to save files directly as PDF Check your PDF file in Acrobat Reader before sending it to us Print a sample copy to fit an 8 5 x 11 sheet on your own printer to verify that images and fonts are correct If you use PowerPoint to create your poster use the 10 x 7 5 slide size This size is proportional to a 40 x 30 poster The Fast Copy Office will choose 30 x 40 paper rotate the image PDF file and print to fit the paper The poster printer will interpolate the image and maintain resolution as it enlarges it If you want a size other than 30 x 40 use an original size that is proportional to your desired finished size e g a 36 x 42 poster could

    Admissions Campus Life Athletics Quick Links A Z Search Directory News Event Calendar D2L eSIS Email Library Resources For Students Faculty Staff Alumni Friends Parents Family Community Search UWRF Academic Success Center Pre Major Program Pre Major Program Pre Major Resources Pre Major Program Students who choose to enter UW River Falls as pre majors will complete required coursework while assessing their opportunities Many students enter their first year of college with a number of exciting ideas about their potential major The pre major option allows students to learn about themselves understand our wide array of academic majors and make decisions with confidence What is Pre Major For new students A temporary home for students to find their path until they declare a major and are assigned to a faculty advisor who will support them in their academic program For current students already declared in a major Students who wish to change their major may become part of the Pre Major Program for one semester to assist in their transition Purpose To support students in their transition into a specific academic program by the end of their sophomore year or completion of 45 credits We encourage all pre majors to

    eSIS Email Library Resources For Students Faculty Staff Alumni Friends Parents Family Community Search UWRF Catalog Pre professional Programs Pre professional Programs Pre Health Professions Pre professional Engineering Pre professional Law Pre professional Veterinary Medicine Pre professional Programs Pre professional Curricula Leading to a Degree Three year programs leading to a degree have been designed under the Professional Option for the B S degree in the College of Arts and Sciences These programs leading to a degree are available in such fields as engineering law medicine optometry pharmacy veterinary medicine Details must be worked out by the student and the advisor and approved by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in advance Pre professional programs are designed for students who will transfer to professional schools and colleges These are suggested curricula only Since the pre professional requirements vary students and their advisers must study the catalog of the institution to which they wish to transfer and make the necessary course adjustments in the suggested programs By careful selection of pre professional and general education courses a three year student may be able to take advantage of the Professional Option for a bachelor s degree in the College

  • Academic Suspension and Probation Policy | University of Wisconsin-River Falls
    have earned a cumulative grade point average less than 2 000 at UWRF They have earned a fall or spring semester GPA of less than 1 667 They are readmitted after having left UWRF while they were on probation or suspended for academic reasons Academic Suspension A suspension action is taken when a student s academic performance indicates a need for a student to interrupt his her enrollment status and reassess his her goals plans and ability to be academically successful Once placed on academic suspension a student is not allowed to enroll in courses at UWRF during either fall or spring semester until he she is readmitted to the university Students will be suspended if any of the following items apply Their semester and cumulative grade point average is less than 2 000 at the end of two successive semesters at UWRF They have earned a fall or spring semester GPA of less than 1 000 Students do not need to be on probation for this suspension regulation to take effect Readmission After Suspension A student who has been suspended may apply for readmission to the university through the Office of the Registrar The Dean of the college to which a student seeks readmission will review the student s application for readmission and make the decision on whether readmission will be granted Depending on the circumstances it is the Dean s prerogative to readmit the student or not and determine the length and criteria of the suspension Revision to the requirements for the Suspension and Probation policies passed by Faculty Senate April 2011 Motion 2010 2011 45 The most acceptable proof of academic preparedness for readmission will be fulfilled when a student completes no fewer than nine semester credits with a 2 500 grade point average GPA The courses
