    participate in a wide variety of floor and hall programs learn with and from others and interact with individuals different from themselves Residence Life offers a number of living options and a well trained staff to assist you and act as a resource for your on campus living needs The vast majority of UWRF residence hall students indicate they are very satisfied with their on campus living experience and in particular have a high level of satisfaction with their Resident Assistant and the opportunity to interact personally with others in their residence hall Your New Home Learn what to bring and what not to bring details about your room and view a Roommate Guide for important things to discuss with your new roommate Residence Halls The UWRF campus is one of the most residential in the state with over 40 of students living on campus Room Design There are three types of rooms in the residence halls Traditional Double Room A room shared by two residents Most hall rooms are double rooms Single Room A room for one resident available in South Fork Suites or Ames Suites In our upper class hall South Fork Suites four single rooms share a living room bathroom and kitchen in an apartment style living arrangement A small number of single rooms are available in our Sophomore only hall Ames Suites which share similar amenities in a pod style living arrangement Super Single Room A traditional double room but for one resident rather than two residents Super singles are in Prucha Hall only Facilities Services As you make the transition to college your residence hall is designed to provide you with everything you need to be successful in your home away from home Living Learning Communities Living as part of a community is one of

    Year Residency Policy Residence Hall Rates Terms and Conditions of Residence Hall Contract Residence Hall Contract Cancellation Administrative Policies Accommodation for Students with Disabilities or Medical Needs Living In The Residence Halls Your New Home Residence Halls Room Design Facilities and Services Living Learning Communities Residence Hall Staff Conduct Policies Conduct Procedures Safety And Security Emergency Preparedness Get Involved Leadership Opportunities Employment in Residence Life Contact Us Meet the Staff Organizational Chart Summer Guests Camps Conferences Camps and Conferences Guest Summer Housing Moving In Fall 2016 move in details will be provided here starting Summer 2016 Check in Procedures When a student moves into the residence halls they are required to fill out a Room Condition Report RCR so the Department of Residence Life knows what kind of condition the room is in when they student first walks in It is extremely important that the RCR is filled out completely and in detail Any questions about this process should be directed to the RA ACD or HD A student is expected to Print legibly so the RCR is readable Fill out the top information including Name ID W Hall and Room and Cell Phone Number Also please list any medical information they would like Residence Life staff to be aware of this will be kept confidential Select the side of the room they will be responsible for The right or left is based on standing in the doorway facing the window Fill out the RCR for all items in the room based on the side of the room they circled Verify that all of the following items are in the room If any are missing a student should contact the RA ACD or HD right away 1 bed mattress per resident 1 desk chair and bookshelf per resident 1 closet

    is allowed please send an e mail to reslife uwrf edu What NOT to Bring What NOT to Bring For your safety and safety of others and because of the physical limitations of our residence halls we ask that you do not bring the following items this list is not all inclusive Refrigerator and Microwave a Microfridge unit is provided by the Department of Residence Life in traditional student rooms Halogen lights Lamps Hotplates or open heating coil appliances such as Toasters Toaster Ovens Pizza Ovens Quesadilla Makers or George Forman type grills Items requiring open flames such as Candles Oil Lamps and Incense Fireworks or any other Explosives Dangerous Weapons including but not limited to Guns Airsoft Pellet and Paintball Rifles Bow and Arrows Crossbows Large Sporting or Hunting Knives Swords or Spears Foam backed Carpeting or Foam Pads for use under carpeting Pets exceptions are harmless fish in 20 gallon aquariums but no reptiles such as frogs turtles snakes Waterbeds A full list of policies and room decoration restrictions is available for your reference Provided Room Furnishings Provided Room Furnishings The rooms at UWRF provide plenty of space for living and studying comfortably for 2 residents The furniture in the room provides an exceptional amount of space for storage and studying Sean UWRF Student In addition to the variety of facilities and services provided in our residence halls we also provide the following in every room on campus extended housing spaces may vary Micro Fridge Unit Includes Refrigerator and Microwave in one unit Loftable Bed Unit bed frame can be adjusted to loft at various heights and requires no additional rental pieces Homemade or rented lofts are not permitted in the halls Mattress Desk and Desk Chair Bookshelf Dresser and or wardrobe South Forks Suites apartments include a full size refrigerator microwave bedroom furnishings loftable bed desk desk chair dresser and wardrobe and living room furniture Students are not permitted to remove or store any of the provided room furnishings outside of their residence hall room A full list of room dimensions is provided on the Room Design webpage Roommate Guide To Success Roommate Guide To Success Sharing a residence hall room in college can be a very difficult transition for many students If this is the first time you will be sharing a room no larger than 11 feet by 13 feet it doesn t matter if the person you are sharing the room with is your current best friend or a complete stranger you will have to take some intentional steps to ensure that this new relationship is a success Common Sense Tips to Living With Your Roommate While some of these may seem basic or silly trust us we deal with many roommate issues each year and they often come down to some of the following issues Be polite ask to use their stuff even if they said you can earlier Often in the beginning of the year students want to make a good impression
