    News Event Calendar D2L eSIS Email Library Resources For Students Faculty Staff Alumni Friends Parents Family Community Search UWRF College of Business and Economics Internships Internships For Employers For Students Forms Internships Video Platform Video Management Video Solutions Video Player Paid Internships Positively Impact Students Among 2014 graduates those who took part in an internships had a distinct advantage over their peers in terms of job offers and starting salary The College of Business and Economics strongly encourages its students who have completed the necessary prerequisites to consider an internship Study after study shows 60 80 of all jobs are found not through a job board like Monster com or a newspaper classified ad but rather by a formal or informal network of contacts where the job isn t even posted yet LinkedIn Basics page 16 According to an article published by the National Association of Colleges and Employers on October 7 2015 Sixty five percent of bachelor s degree graduates from the Class of 2015 participated in an internship and or co op the highest percentage recorded for any graduating class since NACE s Student Survey report was first published in 2007 College students continue to realize how much employers value work experience in the candidates they recruit In fact nearly all of the employers taking part in NACE s Job Outlook 2015 survey said they prefer to hire job candidates who have work experience Furthermore relevant work experience is preferred by almost 75 percent of employers and 60 percent of employers say they prefer work experience gained through an internship or co op experience In NACE s Class of 2015 Student Survey 62 8 percent of respondents took part in an internship Internship News Are Internships the Only Way for Recent College Grads to Grab Entry Level Jobs

    University Police Department available 24 7 for emergencies and crisis response Students are also expected to assume responsibility for their safety Specifically students are asked to do the following Lock their room door even when they are in their room Be aware and cognizant of their surroundings Not allow other students or individuals to tailgate into the residence hall behind them Report any suspicious persons or behavior to the appropriate staff member or call University Police at 715 425 3133 Card Access to Your Hall How Does it Work Every ground level door of each residence hall has a black rectangular reader box next to the door You need to pass your ID card in front of the reader to unlock the door and gain access to any residence hall door Times Between 3 00pm and 10 00pm daily on campus residents can access any residence hall with their ID card Between 10 00pm 3 00pm daily you can enter only the residence hall in which you live Please make arrangements to meet your guests in the lobby of your building Building staff cannot let your friends in for you and tailgating behind other residents is prohibited I am Locked Out Using the phone located in the lobby of your building please contact University Police by dialing 715 425 3133 They will contact the hall staff on duty to arrange for you to get into your building My ID Card is Not Working Please visit the Campus Carding Office in 160 Davee Library 7 45am 4 30pm Monday through Friday ID Card Maintenance Do not hole punch your ID card to add it to a key chain ID cards that have been damaged in this or any other way will be confiscated by the Carding Office 160 Davee Library and
