  • Ingram Scholarship Program | Scholarships | Vanderbilt University
    life exemplified volunteerism and an untiring commitment to mobilizing resources of the business community to assist nonprofit community groups His endeavors are being continued by his family including his wife Martha Ingram an emerita member of the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust The Ingram Scholarship Program challenges students to create and implement substantial service projects in the community The program supports students who demonstrate a willingness and ability to combine a successful business or professional career with a lifelong commitment to finding solutions to critical problems facing modern society Ingram Scholars are expected to devote approximately twenty hours each month during the academic year and at least one of their undergraduate summers to relevant community outreach and service projects Scholarship Benefits Ingram Scholars receive full tuition support each year plus stipends for special summer service projects Vanderbilt will provide additional need based financial aid to those Ingram Scholarship recipients whose demonstrated financial need exceeds the amount of full tuition Scholarships are renewable annually through the senior year contingent on the maintenance of a 3 0 minimum GPA and fulfillment of service related requirements Throughout their years as an Ingram Scholar students are required to maintain a twenty hour monthly service commitment and to complete at least one summer service project Additional summer support is available for students who work closely with a faculty member on a research service project Ingram Scholars meet weekly in large and small groups to discuss individual and collective progress and to reflect on the personal meaning and societal implications of service The Ingram Scholarship Program is coordinated by a faculty director who oversees scholar activities associated with the Ingram program Application and Selection To be considered for the Ingram Scholarship Program applicants apply via MyAppVU after submitting admission application Ingram Scholarship Program applications for prospective

    take their paychecks to the Office of Student Accounts 100 Baker Building 110 21st Ave to have it applied to their student account The office hours are 8 00am 4 30 pm Monday Friday What should a student do if his her paycheck is lost or stolen Students will need to report this immediately to Student Employment at 615 343 4562 They will contact the Vanderbilt HR Payroll Office and have them put a stop payment on the check A new check will be issued This process usually takes at least five 5 working days What should students do if they think an error was made on their paycheck Students should review a copy of their time sheet and check stub with the administrative assistant responsible for payroll paperwork in their home department If a review of these documents indicates that the student was shorted or overpaid the administrative assistant should contact Student Employment at 615 343 4562 in order to assist the student in resolving the problem Is it possible for a student to work in more than one job at Vanderbilt Students may work more than one job however students may only hold one job using FWS funds Undergraduates and International students are limited to working a total of 19 hours a week and graduate professional students are limited to working a total of 29 5 hours a week These limits include all jobs combined Students should inform all supervisors that they work more than one job It will be necessary for a student to complete FWS contracts and or a PAF for all jobs they hold Both the student and the supervisor will be notified when the student is close to earning his full FWS award If a student earns his her full FWS award before the
