    the process of creating original works of art The Sarratt Youth Art Institute offers summer sessions that allow students ages 5 16 the opportunity to learn through the arts These one week sessions are designed to give students time and experience with art forms that allow them to be creative and to encourage their math reading and science education through an arts based curriculum design Studio spaces for the program include a fully equipped clay facility a photography studio with two darkrooms a scanner and printer for digital photography a mixed media studio for printmaking sculpture and textile arts as well as spaces for drawing painting creative movement and more Classes for ages 5 7 are designed to support reading writing and basic math skills while children are having an exciting time in the art dance and music classes Children ages 8 12 and 13 16 explore the art of other cultures or a theme while learning new art techniques Each summer session offers new ideas new themes new mediums and a new part of the world to be explored through art music dance and cultural activities Registration will open on Monday February 1 at 9 00 am Tuition 260
