    on campus The student organization awards include Most Meaningful Service Best Intercultural Awareness Program Best Collaborative Program Best Arts Program Best Interfaith Program Best Health Wellness Program and Best Diversity Inclusion Program The award winners will be announced during the award ceremony Magnolia Awards Ceremony Every spring an award ceremony is held to celebrate Magnolia Award recipients and their work on behalf of the campus community This event is open to all Vanderbilt students faculty and staff members Whether you are an award recipient a student organization member showing support or just a spectator we invite you to be a part of this memorable experience The 2016 Magnolia Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday April 6 th at 6 pm in the Student Life Center Ballroom Awards All Vanderbilt students and organizations who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply for one or more of the awards available Live The Vanderbilt Experience We want our students to have wonderful experiences that will leave a lifetime of great memories We would also like to recognize them for finishing what they started Students who complete My Vanderbilt Experience will also get recognized at the Magnolia Awards Ceremony Visit My Vanderbilt Experience

    membership is open to all freshmen who meet the academic qualifications Students must be registered for a full course of study leading to a bachelor s degree and must rank in the top 20 percent of their freshman class Phi Eta Sigma On campuses with an active chapter of Phi Eta Sigma all freshmen who have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3 5 on a 4 0 scale at the end of any full time curricular period are automatically eligible for membership provided they have carried a normal academic load acceptable toward a bachelor s degree and rank in the upper 20 percent of their class Lotus Eaters Sophomore Honor Society Founded on the principles of community involvement leadership service and academic excellence Lotus Eaters a Vanderbilt University sophomore honor society of about thirty members offers students the opportunity to spend productive time with other sophomore leaders on campus while participating in a variety of unique service oriented projects Athenian Honorary The membership of the organization consists of approximately 40 students chosen from the rising junior class Current Athenians select new members during the spring semester Membership is determined through an application process based on grades twenty percent extracurricular activities and essays eighty percent Extracurricular activities will be evaluated on the basis of leadership and service to Vanderbilt University and to the community Membership information is available for students who are interested in joining Omicron Delta Kappa Membership in Omicron Delta Kappa is as much an obligation and responsibility in leadership as it is a mark of highest distinction and honor Membership is awarded to undergraduate junior and senior students to graduate students to faculty staff administration and alumni and to persons qualifying for membership honoris causa Mortar Board Mortar Board is a national honor society that
