  • Help Tips for Instructor (VCSU-MEP)
the name visual but give aliases of a and vis Tracing an object is somewhat difficult without the context For code machines without a trace I usually use a code repository The Look button is so named because it does a MOO look command and has the same effect as if typed in the lower left hand pane Although it appears to be similar to a refresh it is actually not For example if you are in a room and another user is present in the room you may click on that player s icon Doing so will show the description of that person The Look button will look at the whole room not refresh just the view of the person s description Curt Hill says If you do kids code repository it will show you Curt Hill says Then do show xxxx location Curt Hill says Then you can do move me to yyyy The main difference is that a code machine may have an explanation and trace and either of these could be required A code repository is a larger piece of code where the student may be required to output the code which is part of the download process A code machine does not post an event when it displays code However there are two ways to accomplish what you have in mind One is to type in home in the lower left hand pane The default home for every student is the Entryway The second is to click the xpress button and then quick links It will give you an option also to go to the Entryway and perhaps other useful places I think VASE is the means to display MOO pages without being logged in as a user but I am not sure Check out the documentation at encore http lingua utdallas edu encore All of those who have a vested interest in MOO lesson requirements In one day I broke and fixed the lesson requirements thing for the Moo at 7777 Here is the story sublesson used to have a property requirements that was a list of lists The inner lists were alternate requirements for the lesson I created a new object requirements which now contains in its req property all that used to be in the sublesson requirements property It also has a property lesson which points to the sublesson that it contains requirement for The sublesson now has a list of requirement objects All sublessons were modified via program and the owner of the sublesson is the owner of the new requirements object for that lesson Moreover the name should be req xxxx where xxxx is the lesson object number The owning programmer now has these in their inventory I have also created a new verb g get req player lesson Any reference to the old style requirements such as d lesson requirements has been changed to d g get req player lesson and it should work the same way The initial
