    Luise V Hanson Library and exists to assist students throughout the writing process Tutors are available to help with brainstorming outlining drafting revising and proofreading strategies for writing assignments in any discipline including helping with documentation of sources in research papers For international students tutors are also available for English conversation practice and writing support Because our available hours rely on our tutors schedules the best way to check for and schedule an appointment is through the Writing Center Calendar This calendar is easily found one of three ways By copying and pasting the following url into your web browser http owa waldorf edu public writing center Opening email through the college website and clicking on the Public Folders tab on the left and selecting Writing Center Opening email through Outlook and clicking on the folder list icon looks like a small folder at the far lower left corner You will then click on Public Folders then All Public Folders then Writing Center If you have any problems locating the calendar you can email Dr LeAnn Nash at leeann nash waldorf edu Hours Sunday 6 00 9 00 PM Monday 11 00 AM 12 00 PM 1 00 3 00

    please check the classroom you are using Most classrooms are equipped with an overhead and many with TV VCR DVD carts Equipment available for check out non lcd overhead projectors tv vcr dvd carts tape cd players slide projectors projector screens wireless presenters laser pointers digital cameras camcorders Aver Media document camera I Clicker set If your classroom does not have the required equipment you will need to First check in and around the area of your classroom Often media equipment is stored in a department office area or even in a nearby hallway or stairwell If you cannot find the needed equipment contact the library to make a reservation In order to accommodate your request please provide a minimum of twenty four hours notice Include your name class date and time needed Reserved equipment will be available for you to pick up at the circulation desk Exception TV carts will be delivered to the specified classroom In the case of equipment malfunction contact the library front desk 8110 and a staff member will try to provide immediate assistance Please return all equipment to the circulation desk so that it can be checked in and available for others to use

    need more individual in depth research assistance from one of the librarians please schedule an assistance session by emailing a request to library waldorf edu Please provide information about the assignment and topic when making an appointment Reference Desk Hours during library open hours Monday Friday 8 a m 5 p m Sunday 4 9 p m For assistance outside of regularly scheduled reference desk hours please call 641 585 8110 email library waldorf edu or stop by the library circulation desk A library staff member will be available to assist you during regular library open hours Librarians provide instruction for curriculum support including Collaborative Embedded Instruction Program CEP This program combines library and writing center instruction to support students in courses containing a research paper component The CEP program includes 3 5 short instruction sessions led by a librarian or writing center expert throughout the semester Instruction is paced to correlate with student progress on their research papers This program is limited to 5 courses per semester One shot information literacy sessions One shot sessions are provided in courses upon request by faculty Topics commonly covered are catalog or database searching instruction on subject specific databases evaluating websites academic
