    the last three years The timeframe of testing for certain disabilities can be more or less frequent based on the area of disability and the possibility of a change in the disability or condition pertaining to student need and the requirements of our office Insufficient or incomplete documentation can result in a delay in your accommodations or the implementation of limited or temporary accommodations until appropriate and up to date documentation is received in our office Accommodations Agreement Initial Accommodations Request Form Once our office receives your accommodations request and documentation you will be contacted by one of our Disability Specialists to finalize your accommodations After communicating your needs with the disability specialist an accommodations agreement form will signed by both parties and placed in your confidential file Notification to Professors Term Accommodation Request Form You will need to make an accommodation request each term indicating which course s that you want to utilize your accommodations We only notify your professors of the academic accommodations they need to be aware of for your participation in their class and not the area of your disability If you choose to disclose your disability area to your professor that is your individual choice You will be provided with a copy of the letter outlining your accommodations to the professor You are responsible for requesting accommodations through our office in a timely manner so that our office will have ample time to provide your accommodations and to notify your professor s Confidential information Your confidential information is kept secure at our office and is only accessible to our staff Documentation of your disability is kept separate from any official academic records Your records regarding your disability are maintained only to provide you your accommodations for taking Waldorf College courses Your records about your disability

    DL program in order to take advantage of this forgiveness program Most lenders offer benefits during repayment after a student makes payments from two to four years Very few students end up receiving those benefits In DL students earn benefits after only one year Should a student make payments late under DL the late fees charged are less than the late fees charged in the FFEL Program Direct Loan Resource Center StudentLoans gov In order to receive federal student loans you must complete certain requirements The Department of Education has created a website StudentLoans gov to manage borrower requirements and provide valuable information regarding federal student loans The three items listed below are required from all borrowers Entrance Interview To ensure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower the Federal Government requires you to participate in loan counseling prior to receiving a Direct Loan if you have not previously received a Direct Loan Federal Family Education Loan or Supplemental Loans to Students SLS Loan The three items listed below are required from all borrowers Sign Master Promissory Note MPN The Master Promissory Note commonly referred to as MPN is a document that must be signed in order to receive a federal student loan The signed MPN binds you to the federal government as a promise to repay the student loan you intend to take out to help cover your educational expenses The MPN provides valuable information about the rights and responsibilities you have as a borrower Exit Interview Prior to graduating or leaving school Direct Loan borrowers must complete exit counseling The Direct Loan Exit Counseling will explain your rights and responsibilities as a Direct Loan Borrower Your Federal PIN is required in order to complete the Exit Interview because your personal loan information will be provided Federal Stafford Loans Stafford loans are Federal Student Loans made directly available to college and university students and are used to supplement personal and family resources scholarships and grants They may be subsidized by the U S Government or may be unsubsidized depending on the student s financial need Subsidized Stafford Loans A Federal Direct Subsidized Stafford Loan is awarded on the basis of the student s financial need and other specific eligibility requirements The federal government does not charge interest on these loans while borrowers are enrolled at least half time during a six month grace period or during authorized periods of deferment Based on need Interest paid by the federal government while you are in school Must be enrolled at least half time Unsubsidized Stafford Loans A Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan is not based on the student s financial need but students must also meet specific eligibility requirements Interest is charged throughout the life of the loan The borrower may choose to pay the interest charged on the loan or allow the interest to be capitalized added to the loan principal Non need based Available to independent students only with the exception of dependent students

    your Student Aid Report SAR and monitor federal loans that you receive If you are a dependent student a parent should also request a PIN which can be used as their electronic signature on the FAFSA Fill out and submit the FAFSA Make certain to indicate the Waldorf school code of 001895 on the FAFSA If you have already completed a FAFSA retrieve it and add the Waldorf school code Monitor your email account for important notifications concerning your SAR The Waldorf Office of Financial Aid will receive your FAFSA information and will contact you if necessary Once your application is processed and all official transcripts received and evaluated you will receive an Academic Evaluation Report by email along with instructions for logging into the Waldorf Financial Aid Portal to complete the financial aid process All forms transcripts and other required documents submitted to Waldorf will become the property of the College and will not be forwarded to another institution or returned to the student Once you have completed all the necessary steps within the portal and are ready to submit your file for review you will be reminded to submit your Enrollment Agreement Although your file will be reviewed and confirmed without this form being submitted you will need to submit it prior to the end of the registration period In the event you later decide to cancel your enrollment you may do so without penalty prior to the end of the drop period The FAFSA4caster site can provide an estimate of your eligibility for FSA The information entered will later transfer to your FASFA if you decide to apply for FSA You ll need tax information on hand to complete this process Current Students Current Waldorf students who wish to apply for FSA for the first time should

    determines its annual average COA using a formula established by Congress A student s eligibility for financial aid will be based not on individual preferences and spending habits but on standard budget allowances A student s cost of attendance will include Tuition and fees Books supplies loan fees and miscellaneous personal expenses Room and board expenses Dependent care Costs related to disability The cost of attendance for students attending Waldorf does include expenses related to direct and indirect costs students may incur The figure used to determine the indirect cost allowance is based on the national average obtained from the U S Bureau of Labor and Statistics Bachelor s Degree 33 000 The amount above is based on graduates successfully completing 120 semester hours at the tuition rate of 275 per credit hour Note The amount listed above is a direct cost a student will incur while attending Waldorf and based on the fact that the student will be required to take all required semester hours associated with that particular degree In addition to the direct cost Waldorf uses national averages on other indirect costs a student will have while attending Waldorf that will be used in formulating an annual budget for FSA Any amount listed is subject to change and notification will be sent to all students when a change occurs via electronic means Student Award After the student has completed the FAFSA and receives their Academic Evaluation Report with an accepted status he she will then be provided with instructions for logging into the Financial Aid Portal From this point the process will usually be complete within 7 to 10 business days This process may take longer for students chosen for verification and or other issues that require additional documentation The student will provide information required in the
