  • What Is Your Legacy? | The Warrior
future Have you thought about what your legacy will be Each day we are given 86 400 to spend Not money but seconds How are you choosing to spend that currency What you do with your future is important I count myself blessed to be in education and see many people making education a part of their legacy Education can be passed down to generations and inspiring family to also allow it to be apart of their lives I once heard a man speaking at a conference and it forever changed my life He said Legacy is like a will If you leave something in your will to pass down then you have a will But if you don t leave something to pass down then your will is empty What are you leaving for future generations For your family Look into your family and grab the legacy they have passed down to you or make a new legacy like many do with education Pursue your legacy Chantell Author Whitney Fike Share This Post On Google Facebook Twitter Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields are marked Comment Name Email Website Recent Popular

  • What is your Waldorf story? | The Warrior
to finish their degrees I can remember an online student walking across the stage with a picture of their dad tightly held in their hand as they received their diploma This student was so overwhelmed that he had finally finished and he was the first in his family to receive his education His dad had passed away and he brought his father to the stage with him to show his appreciation Gaining an education has also opened up so many new opportunities of promotion as well As I visit with students getting to hear how education gave them the promotion they needed for their jobs is so exciting There are so many more stories of how adults work their way through their education through so many challenges Adjusting to life and pushing through one course at a time gives them strength and encouragement to push to the end As a student or alumni I hope you take this time to share your Waldorf Story with me Let us know in the comments below how you are doing and what is causing you to pursue your passion of education See you on the blog Chantell Author Claire Stewart Share This Post

  • President’s Message | June 2015 | The Warrior
service members put their lives on the line every day and Waldorf recognizes the sacrifices made by the family members of America s military men and women and public safety personnel by offering a Hero Behind the Hero scholarship Applications for this scholarship are now being accepted Summer is upon us and campus is quiet but for many of you life doesn t slow down during the lazy days of summer You may be balancing work children and planning family vacations all while earning your degree Some people may not consider it a major feat to complete an assignment in the midst of all these things but we do and we are so proud of you all for working hard and staying true to your goals of obtaining that college degree Our friendly faculty and staff continue to strive for excellence when it comes to your college experience so don t be afraid to reach out to a counselor or professor with any questions comments or just for a little affirmation and motivation As one student one student recently commented There have been times along the way that I have considered stopping slacking or just offering less than my best effort If you haven t figured it out by now when I reached those points I simply picked up the phone and created a reason to call Academic Advisor Debra Waldrop I have gained much more than a degree I have gained an ally and a friend Give us a call and I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the Waldorf s genuine care for you not only as a student but as a person Author Whitney Fike Share This Post On Google Facebook Twitter Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields
