  • Piloting Your Time | The Warrior
and then burn out starts coming into play As I get older I am learning to be wise with my time I am starting to realize that more is less and less is more I used to think at the end of the day I had to have so many projects accomplished before I could say I had a good day But I am realizing that it does not matter how fast you go through the day but it s really how slow you go through the day it is more important to strategically plan out your day and the best use of your time Focusing on the top three priorities of your day will set your day off right Take time to look at your calendar and manage your time Look at the week ahead and plan out who you need to meet with and what needs to be accomplished Then take time to make it happen The bad news is TIME flies The good news is you re the pilot I came across this quote and it could not be more true Let s make sure we are being the best pilot of our time When we are in charge it makes for a happier life Make a stand today and don t let your busy life control you Start this year off right and be the pilot of your time You will end up with so much fulfillment in your work life and family life Tips for your time Take a look at your week Decide on your top priorities for the week and get them accomplished List your daily goals Pick the top tasks each day that you need to complete The rest can be finished later Remember you are in charge of your time Take

  • Leading With Your Heart | The Warrior
t feel it was alright to not know everything in my department or to need their help in figuring out a problem As a result of this type of leadership which by the way had no depth my department began to fail Many of my staff left and moved on to other jobs I cannot help but think I caused this situation by not being a real leader with a real heart Just because I had a management title did not mean I should force my rule or better yet only wanting them to give to me without getting anything in return I was a leader with a cold heart What did I expect This was an eye opening experience I have never forgotten how leading this way was a sure way to disengage a team I learned a team can only go so far under this type of leadership Once a leader establishes that they are the leader by position then the leader has to get off of that and get to know their team I got another chance to rebuild my team and this time I made some drastic changes on how to approach my team and how to engage with them I still made mistakes but I began to learn and get comfortable with leading with my heart rather than leading with a title Leading effectively takes practice and lots of it When a leader engages and is real with their staff the team gets energized Now the team will follow the leader because they want to not because they have to I led my team with my heart and not my title Everyone knows who the manager is by the title The real job comes in how a leader engages and gets to know their staff

  • Being You | The Warrior
my job and for what reason Putting pressure on myself was one the main causes Once I let that pressure go of being someone else what a change it made I needed to like me and appreciate all I had accomplished at this point in my life I was so busy trying to become someone that I forgot who I really was And having come to that realization I have also learned that the pressure was coming from within and not from others That was an amazing lesson to have learned and I only wish that I had learned it sooner Since then I have more confidence in myself because I don t give into the pressure that I did before I know who I am and what I am capable of doing Today I rarely step into a situation full of fear I go into it knowing who I am with the confidence to perform as I need to If you can tap into this it will change your life Knowing who you are settles you down and allows you to see clearly ahead So much peace and joy will settle on you as you live each day to the fullest I encourage you to take time to evaluate yourself and figure out if you are falling into the same trap I fell into Once I got ahold of this truth it literally changed my life First of all I know I am good enough as I am and secondly I know I have what it takes to overtake anything that might come my way Each morning as I prepare to start my day I look into the mirror and say to myself I am going to be Chantell today and see what happens I encourage you wherever you
