  • President’s Message | The Warrior
are streamed live for you to enjoy no matter how far away from Iowa you may be Today is Constitution Day a holiday recognizing the day the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created It seems fitting that the signing of the constitution occurs during this season of transformation The U S Constitution is transformational document taking influences as diverse as Greek philosophers to Enlightenment thinkers to Native American culture to create a new frame of government The document redefined how we think about ourselves as a people and our relationship to our government Education too is an experience of powerful transformation As president of Waldorf College I am continually reminded of what an education can mean to someone not only looking to improve his or her life or boldly embark on a new career path but to redefine him or herself Not unlike our constitutional forefathers you are talking on a great challenge rising to the occasion and transforming the life before you Author Whitney Fike Share This Post On Google Facebook Twitter Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields are marked

  • Positive Change | The Warrior
but I honestly have learned to go with the flow After a while circumstances change and things have a way of working themselves out If we can find that place of peace and really sit on that and believe things will work out we can really walk through change with a different mindset Remember change is inevitable Become an expert at handling change and embrace it Trying to stop it will not only cause you stress but it will bring you down and make the future tough to anticipate Change has made me who I am today I have been working with our family business now for over 25 years Even this very day I am walking through change Of course I don t want to change my ways or habits but I must if I want to keep moving forward At times when change comes my way I don t want to embrace it I kick and scream for awhile and demand my way But soon I come around and embrace my new life Change keeps you on the go and opens you up for new vision and ideas for your life It makes you a better person if you give it a chance A very positive change is coming to our institution With the new name and the new brand image of Waldorf I expect huge growth and change from Waldorf I hope you are all as excited as I am to the future of Waldorf University Author Brooke Cooley Share This Post On Google Facebook Twitter 1 Comment Charles Eggers February 11 2016 We have a quote in our Sunday School classroom that reads Change is inevitable but growth is optional I look at it often and its a great reminder to breathe slowly and be patient

  • What Will You Do Different This Year? | The Warrior
another I personally take each day and mentally see myself advancing forward It could be to decide to be more social than you were last year or to read one book per month on a topic that will help you at your job There are so many ways to advance yourself whether its for a job promotion or just being a better person One thing that I decided to do years ago is to listen to people more actually to be an expert at listening Now I am still working on this but for me this is a must in my position Listening to others brings value to them and tells them that you respect what they have to say Instead of setting such lofty goals for yourself this year or that dreaded New Years Resolution go after small things as I have stated above As you do this you will feel more accomplished and energized because you are meeting your goals Here are some excellent goal ideas for the year Listen more this year Write more cards to appreciate others Read more self help books Find someone to mentor Start your education Author Claire Stewart Share This Post On

  • Finishing Well In Your Studies | The Warrior
an online adult learner going back to school for me was probably one of the most stressful times of my life I had a three month old baby that cried not stop as I studied my courses But somehow we all find ways to push through and to make it work Keeping your stress level at a minimum will also help you focus of your studies Putting so much pressure on yourself will cause you to be over stressed and overworked Learning yourself and knowing your limits are extremely important when balancing your workload If you know it takes you longer to study then make time for it instead of waiting for the last minute to cram Always remember whatever you do finish well You want to always look back and consider your studies a success Even if it took everything you had to make this semester successful and feel proud that you gave it all you had in each of your classes Make your next 2016 semester count for you Author Claire Stewart Share This Post On Google Facebook Twitter Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields are marked Comment Name Email
