    drawing seismograms at arbitrary resolution was rewritten for both better performance and better visual appearance on high dpi retina screens The printing interface has been rewritten to use Qt 5 4 classes Along with other code improvements printing on both Windows and Mac OS X now occurs at the maximum available resolution provide by native printer drivers Pdf output on Mac OS X occurs at 1200 dpi using the standard printer dialog An additional menu item will be added to the Windows version to support 1200 dpi pdf output regardless of whether any PostScript printer drivers are installed on the system The user interface has been significantly enhanced with more actions available from toolbar and flatter icons This change mirrors current trends in user interfaces on both Mac OS X and Windows The scrolling time rulers have been improved to better handle arbitrary magnification changes The dialog for direct downloading of waveform data from the IRIS DMC via web services has been replaced by a prototype wizard which guides users through available choices of stations organized by network At present a simplified set of user friendly networks is available Support has been added for downloading data as displacement velocity acceleration
