    his alma mater in order to advance Christ s kingdom He lives in Wheaton with his wife Juliana M A 96 and their four children Contact Jared Wilhelm Central U S Region Eric Hamsho Southwest Region Regional Director of Development Eric Hamsho is Wheaton s regional director of development for the southwestern U S including Arkansas Oklahoma Texas New Mexico Colorado Arizona Utah Nevada and Wyoming Eric earned a Bachelor of Music degree with elective studies in business from Wheaton College in 1993 Since graduating he has served as a pastor of worship and music in three congregations most recently in Raleigh North Carolina Eric has found great joy investing in the local church through the teaching and leading of worship He also enjoys spending time with his family and the opportunity to coach his kids in baseball and soccer Eric and his wife Stacia are privileged and excited to be a part of the Wheaton College community with their three children Ben Jaimeson and Elliana Contact Eric Hamsho Southwest Region Cynthia Iglesias Western Region Regional Director of Development Cynthia Iglesias is the Regional Director of Development for the Western Region including Washington Oregon California Idaho Alaska and Hawaii Cynthia earned her B A from the University of Virginia in Interdisciplinary Studies She has four daughters one is an alumna from the class of 14 and two are current students at Wheaton College which gives Cynthia a front row perspective on campus life Prior to joining the Development Department Cynthia served in a variety of volunteer fundraising and leadership positions related to her husband s career and her daughters preprofessional dance company I am honored to be a part of what God is doing at Wheaton and also helping to advance the work For Christ and His Kingdom Cynthia and her husband David Iglesias 80 reside in Wheaton with their cocker spaniel Anise Contact Cynthia Iglesias Western Region Tory Gum Southeastern Region Regional Director of Development Tory Gum serves as Wheaton s regional director of development for the southeastern U S including Kentucky Tennessee North Carolina South Carolina Georgia Alabama Mississippi Louisiana and Florida Prior to coming to Wheaton Tory served in a variety of roles at Judson University including key roles in advancement Tory earned a bachelor s degree from Wayland Baptist University and completed his graduate studies at Northern Illinois University Tory and his wife Sandy are honored to be a part of the Wheaton College family along with their children Alexa Lauren Jordan Abigail and Shawna Contact Tory Gum Southeastern Region Lauren Wong Northeast Region Regional Director of Development Lauren Wong is Wheaton s regional director of development for the northeast region including Maine New Hampshire Vermont New York Massachusetts Rhode Island Connecticut New Jersey Pennsylvania Maryland Washington DC Delaware West Virginia and Virginia Lauren earned her B A in Communication from Wheaton College in 2008 She served for three years in ministry with Young Life building relationships and sharing Christ with high school students and their

    am to this day They nurtured and encouraged and broadened my own natural inquisitiveness about the world and directed me to other resources as needed I ve told my children that THIS is what you pay the big bucks for in a college education Luci Deck Shaw 53 poet My education at Wheaton class of 53 was invaluable Not only did my years at Wheaton clarify for me what my life work was to be writing and teaching but the faculty were such fabulous role models of Christian scholarship and service that their examples still inspire me They set my feet on the path that I ve followed ever since Tim Stoner 82 vice president of operations finance Wheaton provided me with a solid spiritual foundation that affirmed my faith and gave me tools to articulate its importance in my life Wheaton gave me the experience of Christian community gave me lifelong friendships and started to develop disciplines to help me grow and flourish after graduation Wheaton gave me a desire to learn taught me how to learn and through a variety of academic disciplines stretched my thinking and nurtured the creative development of all aspects of me Barbara Ruesche Winter 60 missionary My excellent Wheaton education prepared me for entering the world of public education at the elementary level and enabled me to serve as Director of Children s Ministries for 30 years due to the quality Christian Education classes taught by the Drs LeBar and the elementary ed courses taught by many different professors In addition the Bible requirements influenced my thinking and life for 53 years Parents John Biedebach 89 senior manager in sales consulting When I decided to send my son to Wheaton I wanted to raise a Christian who can think I am not sure how you quantify that but it is something that the world woefully lacks President Ryken does a great job articulating the value of a Christian liberal arts education but make no mistake our choice was an investment to receive an intangible reward It was not made based on projected future earnings I think if you do a pure dollars and cents calculation then you can t beat community college and then transfer to a 4 year commuter school but that was not what we wanted We want to raise vibrant thoughtful well rounded independent kids who had a solid base of learning across many disciplines Plus I wanted my kids to know Jerry Root Kirt Eldredge The biggest value that Wheaton College has to offer is focused growth of the students in Jesus Christ and with a community of believers High academics is number two In short the growth of the student spiritually and mentally in Christ are Wheaton s greatest assets Chris Jahns 82 business owner and sales vice president Wheaton prepares students to make an impact for Christ and His kingdom in the world Love for God His Word and people leadership vision critical thinking communication skills Biblical
