    to have an even more exciting season than ever For more information please email wheatonlacrosse gmail com Chelsea Mueller Alex Petrie Captains Men s Lacrosse Wheaton Men s Lacrosse seeks to pursue excellence both on and off the field Christ is our aim and simple love of the game is our inspiration As a member of the Great Lakes Lacrosse League Wheaton strives to field competitive teams built upon the principles of hard work and devotion Our common pursuit forges a strong bond among us as teammates and brotherhood is a key component of our program For more information please contact one of the captains below Contacts Brendan Jones brendan jones my wheaton edu Tommy Sokolowski tommy sokolowski my wheaton edu Bruce Wilson Head Coach wheatonlax gmail com Phone 630 765 4497 Coach Head Coach Bruce Wilson played for a state championship high school team in Maryland before attending Wheaton College Bruce was a four year starter at attack for Wheaton and scored in 40 consecutive games for a career total of over 120 goals Bruce served as the head coach of the Wheaton Academy high school lacrosse team from 2011 2013 Bruce is passionate about helping young men grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ while developing a love for the game of lacrosse During the day Bruce serves as Missions pastor at College Church in Wheaton Overview The Wheaton College Lacrosse team plays in the Great Lakes Lacrosse League The GLLL is comprised of 41 teams from the upper midwest including Northwestern Loyola Michigan State Notre Dame and Marquette s club teams Northern Illinois University and others Read more about the GLLL at Glll org Wheaton plays eight scheduled spring season games The season culminates in the championship tournament weekend in which all GLLL teams participate and are seeded by regional rankings In the spring the team practices three times a week plus games Players do cardio and speed training on their own and in groups The spring season begins in mid January and runs through April Practices in January and February are typically held indoors at Wheaton and occasionally off campus at a rented indoor turf facility Once the weather allows the team practices outdoors on Wheaton s grass and turf fields Home games are played on the turf field at Bean Stadium In the fall the team practices three to four times a week in September and October and schedules two to three games against local colleges Physical conditioning is organized throughout the winter until the spring season begins Wheaton is academically rigorous and players are encouraged to balance play and studies We realize that athletes come to Wheaton because they want all that Wheaton has to offer academics faith community service and sports We think we ve found a great balance between playing high quality lacrosse and enjoying a wholistic college experience Lacrosse can be a highlight of your Wheaton experience without consuming all your time Team members have a range of lacrosse experience prior
