    Center Museum begins in the sacred arts gallery and enjoying two to four different exhibits per season As you journey through the Museum your first stop will be in the Rotunda of Witnesses which houses nine stunning tapestries depicting great witnesses for the Gospel John Wycliffe Rotunda of Witnesses Christ s deeds and examples are commandments of what we should do More From here you ll proceed to the History of Evangelism in America section where you will see a rich array of historical images and artifacts that the museum has collected over the years At the end of this section you ll encounter one of the loveliest and most fascinating presentations of the birth the death and the resurrection of Jesus in the Cross of the Millennium From here you ll enter a major section of the Museum which highlights the Life and Ministry of Billy Graham As you leave the Billy Graham display you ll encounter a powerful depiction of the needs of our world and be challenged to personal evangelism A final theater presentation in this section captures the highlights of crusades from around the world The last leg of your journey through the Museum takes you

    own Rudolph who lives in Savannah Georgia says that his inspirations come from many sources especially the Bible and reproductions of the works of the masters such as Rembrandt Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo Bostic s work was featured in the 2005 inaugural exhibition of the Hurn Museum of Contemporary Folk Art in Savannah GA and his art is in the permanent collection of the High Museum in Atlanta GA Some of the most prestigious southern galleries of folk art represent Bostic s paintings Cardboard Chronicles begins with The Creation of Adam Adam and Eve Naming the Animals and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil then turns to the colorful story of Noah Many of his paintings portray the life of Christ Comforting Mary Annunciation begins this journey and Nativity with Angel portrays the incarnation of the Lord Peace Be Still is a stunning interpretation of his encounter on the Sea of Galilee with his disciples and The Last Supper is a real testimony to the influence of historical art on Bostic s work The show includes images of the death of Christ Crucifixion Pietà and Lamentation Two Women at Jesus Death Angels Receive Orders from Jesus offers

    of Billy Graham Rotunda of Witnesses Walk Through the Gospel For a lifetime I have loved to sing the story of Jesus and His love It was unknown to any of us at the time that this would lead to global wide sharing of the blessed Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ History has been written and God s love has overshadowed these years of ministry George Beverly Shea George Beverly Shea America s Beloved Gospel Singer carried the Good News of Jesus Christ in song to every corner of the globe as the musical mainstay in Billy Graham s Crusades Between Crusade radio and television dates he composed many songs sang hundreds of concerts and recorded more than 70 albums of sacred music but a poem by Rhea Miller captured the thrill of his heart I d rather have Jesus than men s applause I d rather be faithful to His dear cause I d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame I d rather be true to His holy name The Billy Graham Center Museum is currently hosting a new commemorative exhibit to celebrate the life of this great man of God BGC Archives George Beverly Shea

    the Millenium History of Evangelism in America Life and Ministry of Billy Graham Rotunda of Witnesses Walk Through the Gospel Take a journey through time as you witness the history and impact of evangelism in America from the landing of Columbus in 1492 to the end of World War II The display is divided into intimate modules each according to a particular period of American history Dioramas audio visual elements and animated displays add to the richness of the experience Starting with the Colonial era and ending with the advent of radio evangelism the story includes sections on the Second Great Awakening the Civil War period and late nineteenth century developments such as urban evangelism and city missions On display is a rich array of historical images and artifacts surrounding these events including A portion of the Eliot Algonquin Indian Bible from 1663 the first Bible printed in America A copy of the book The Ecclesiastical History of New England by Cotton Mather 1702 A manuscript of a sermon by Cotton Mather A copy of the book Some Thoughts Concerning the Present Renewal of Religion in New England by Jonathan Edwards 1742 A copy of George Whitefield s book The Nature and Necessity of Our New Birth in Jesus Christ 1737 A saddlebag with sermons used by 19th century circuit riders A copy of Poems of Various Subjects by Phillis Wheatley 1773 A copy of Uncle Tom s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe 1879 A book of Scriptures for soldiers used during the Civil War 1863 AND MORE Heard at Wheaton I am repeatedly surprised to discover how many students have never heard of Billy Graham or the other figures highlighted in the history of evangelism exhibits I am thankful for this historic commitment to sharing the Gospel in both
