    with wooden windmills barns houses and museums and built in the typically Dutch wooden architectural style A city card will be provided to enjoy some of the many attractions We will then venture south to the town of Delft made famous by its stunning porcelain and also known as the home town of the Dutch painter Vermeer While here there will be tour of the porcelain factory Then its over to nearby Madurodam also known miniature Europe This enchanting display of a miniature fictitious city sprawls over 70 acres Typical Dutch townscapes and famous landmarks are replicated on a scale of 1 25 you ll feel a bit like Gulliver viewing Lilliput The wonder of it all is that this is a working miniature world Trains run ships move planes taxi down runways bells ring the barrel organ plays and there s even a town fair in progress Lunch will be included en route Meals Breakfast and Lunch AMSTERDAM EINDHOVEN Day 5 Monday August 1 Travel south via motorcoach from Amsterdam en route to the southern Dutch city of Eindhoven for one night stay Today s sights will focus on the history of the Second World War with a sobering stop at the Camp Amersfort Concentration Camp the it s on to the Wings of Liberation Museum in Best The Museum focuses on Operation Market Garden which in 1944 led to the liberation of the country Travel back in time with authentic military equipment and beautiful dioramas There s also a 3 D movie and a chance to experience what it feels like to be a pilot during a flight simulation Additional WWII sightseeing TBA will be organized in the Eindhoven area Meals Breakfast EINDHOVEN LUXEMBOURG CITY Day 6 Tuesday August 2 Today will also be spent learning more about both the European and American involvement during WWII as we travel via motorcoach from Eindhoven to Luxembourg City for one night stay Highlights will include Ardennes Cemetery the final resting place of 5 329 members of the United States military who died in World War II the Malmedy Massacre Memorial referring to the horrific war crime in which 84 American prisoners of war were murdered by their German captors Bastogne War Museum and the Patton Memorial Museum dedicated to General George S Patton Jr commander of the 3rd U S Army whose troops liberated the town of Ettelbruck on December 25 1944 Meals Breakfast LUXEMBOURG CITY CAEN Day 7 Wednesday August 3 We will primarily be on the motorcoach today as we travel from Luxembourg through Northern France to the harbor side town of Caen for three night stay Time permitting a stop will be made in the town of Reims in the Champagne region known worldwide as the home of the world s best bubbly We will visit the champagne cellars of either Mumm s or Taittinger with lunch included en route to Caen Meals Breakfast and Lunch BAYEUX LANDING BEACHES EXCURSION Day 8 Thursday August 4 Today s
